Chapter 72: Dying...

Was the little protagonist just a pig to you both? 

Lucien is breathing hard. He can feel the piercing of the sharp substance in his back is not yet done drawing out his blood. 

He's having a hard time gasping for air. Were his lungs punctured too? He was not sure. But it was impossible at the moment. 

He should have died because of lack of oxygen. The fact that he persisted means it's not yet injured. He was only in pain because of the wounds on his back. 

Lucien could feel his blood flowing in different directions. It curved after reaching his waist and rose back up, as if forming an arc. 

A painful burning sensation implanted itself in his back when the blood successfully formed a circle. The blood must have burned his skin and driven right into his bones. 

He couldn't breathe. He felt like he was losing himself from the pain. At the last minute, the system's familiar ding sounded.
