Chapter 57: Benefit Of A Doubt

A few hours later.

Done putting the kids to sleep, Adoora finally leaves the room and heads down to the basement to talk with her daughter.

When she knocked on the door, her daughter opened it right away.

"Come in, Mom," Irene said. "Are the kids sleeping now?" she asked.

"Yeah," Adoora replied. She stepped inside the room and scanned the area. She seldom comes to this room because she doesn't like the feel of the basement. Every time she enters this place she feels like she was buried ten meters down beneath the ground, it makes her feel suffocated. "Daughter, I'm wondering why you like staying in this place? It feels stuffy to me," she said.

Irene smiled and shut the door, locking it from the inside.

They went to bed and sat down.

Irene took a deep breath. "I'm staying in this basement for a huge reason, Mom," she said.

Adoora looked at her daughter, a frown appeared on her face. "What reason?"
