Chapter 61: Another Date

***ALEX'S POV***

With my hand in his, Jake led me toward the river that cut through the city, there was a little stone bridge that was surrounded by bushes filled with flowers and tall, beautiful trees that looked like it was straight out of a Thomas Kincaid painting. It was pretty, even the cynical and not very girly me knew that it was a wonderful sight to behold. And it seemed like the perfect place to sit and have a date with Jake.

"This is nice." I didn't want to sound stupid and say that it was pretty. We both knew that it was probably the nicest place in the entire city that we could go to this time of night.

"Here, let me help you."
