It's hard to explain the lightness in my chest and the flutter in my stomach as I wake this morning. I feel so satiated and blissful as I glance around the room and immediately realize I'm not in my bedroom. And the heavy limbs slung over my body belong to Mariano who is still sleeping behind me—very much naked, just like I am.

Last night, Mariano cooked dinner for me and we watched John Wick 2 while eating. He received a phone call just as the credits rolled up and he said there were some things he needed to take care of, but that he'd be back in a few hours. While he was gone, I busied myself in my new art studio for a bit. I didn't paint, but I did familiarize myself with everything and organized my stuff.
