Chapter 101: The new king

The royal palace was quite big.

I remembered these gardens and that large castle-

Not just from the party no, I'd been here before… as prince.

And now-

As the new king.

But I couldn't call myself king before the king handed over the title.

Either it was that or I'd have to kill the entirety of the heirs and then claim the throne- or so tradition went.

Yeah, I wasn't going to bother with that crap but Marie insisted.

And I had a feeling why.

After all, we also had to have legitimacy and keep our allies happy….

Regardless we walked through the garden, through the corridors, and straight into the palace. 

Maids, nobles, soldiers- all just stared, bowed, and went about their days.

So far, so good.

It wasn't just me and the two girls though.

Duke Varana Khaarona had come over and the second prince or rather the new count was following me around all day. Technically, it was still morning but still!
