Chapter 59: The raid: We’re taking over

"This doesn't make sense!"

Amiya just walked in circles in our room.

A guestroom- full of air and odd blue lighting.

"And you even played along with them…" Marie seemed to be a bit disappointed.

I had a feeling everyone who came here with me was going to be disappointed but this was unavoidable. 'Come on people, don't you have any faith in me?'

Meanwhile- "No, what he did was for the best. With our numbers, intimidation wouldn't have worked and there's not much we can do." The mercenary kind of sided with me.

Excuse me- who was he again?

I'd been meaning to ask but seeing how comfortable Amiya was- I didn't bother.

But- "Have we met before?" 

I had this nagging feeling that I'd heard this guy's voice before.

But I couldn't quite put a finger on it.

"Yeah, we met the other day." 

"What other day-" Marie spoke before me.

The mercenary guy kind of grinned but kept quiet.
