Chapter 88: Variant horde

The squad managed to make it to the outskirts of the city without running into any trouble. However, the state of the city was awful, rows of buildings were destroyed, clear battles with mutants were evident and now it was just a wasteland. This also gave the squad a view of the outside which is usually covered in forest with a bridge that goes over the top so as to not disturb the wildlife. 

"No way." Reia climbed on top of some rubble and she was shocked to see how the outside world had become. 

The highway bridge that went over the forest, was completely collapsed and the forest below was burnt to ash with only some remaining in the distance. This was not the only detail that caught Reia's eye as there was something forming within the forest. 

"Is that an egg?" In the middle of the burnt forest, there was a massive mutant egg coming out of the ground which sent shivers down Reia's spine.
