Arrogant Mr
At the company's restaurant, Xandria was having some caramel latte with Anxi while gisting to her about her next upcoming movie which she was so excited about.
Ever since they got here, she didn't fail to notice Anxi's sour mood as she munched on her caramel latte.
"Tell me, did Xander ruin your happy mood today."
"Hmm?" Anxi was taken aback by her question as her big round eyes met Xandria fox-like own.
She wasn't expecting it to be so obvious, that her boss was the one responsible for her being so moody.
"It shows?"
Xandria chuckled softly. "No, but being his secretary and getting to spend most times around him, only my brother can make one feel like the worst person on earth so tell me, what did he do?"
Anxi pressed her lips tightly together, thinking about how she was going to tell Xandria about it and muttered embarrassedly.
"He called me short and told me I wasn't of his taste."
Xandria was about to take a spoonful of caramel latte into her mouth but stopped midway at Anxi's words.
The next minute she was laughing, unable to suppress it which left Anxi even more embarrassed.
"Stop it, it's not funny."
"I'm….so…. sorry but…" she tried to speak in between her laugh but couldn't help it, she didn't know why it made her laugh so much.
It's just her brother calling someone short was something she hasn't heard before, but noticing Anxi's sad pout, she tried to restrain herself.
"Okay okay, I'm calm now, so you're saying my brother called you short." She snickered while covering her mouth to suppress it and Anxi was starting to find the statement funny as well, hearing Xandria laugh like that.
"Stop it already, you're making the situation look funny when it's not."
"Don't let something like that get to you, ignore him, trust me what he says to me is nothing compared to that."
"He equally said I wasn't his taste, fine I can let the fact he called me short slide off but that actually hurt me a bit."
"Well do you wish to be of his taste?" Xandria questioned pessimistically while Anxi immediately shook her head.
"That wasn't what I meant."
"Then why would it trouble you if he says you aren't of his taste, my brother is devilishly handsome and crazily hot, I won't argue with that but he's equally trouble."
"No woman ever seems to be of taste when it comes to my brother, most times he really can't make out what guys see in me that makes them fall for me, to him I'm just annoying and a burden to his life." She casually said like it was supposed to be a normal thing.
"So he really is an arrogant Mr."
"He's worse, but I'm his sister, I'm bound to tolerate it all and suffer." She joked.
Before the conversation could continue, Xander stepped out through the elevator with Andrey by his side.
All eyes were instantly focused on him and whispers like; "wow", "So handsome!" And more pleasantries echoed in the company's restaurant.
A few hefty men in suits trailing behind him, opening the glass door for him to step out of the building.
Their gazes followed him like an owl and watched as he got stopped by reporters with girls screaming his name from behind.
Anxi understood immediately what the bodyguards were for as they cleared his path for him, making way so he could get to his car and the door closed afterwards.
Even Xandria had to use a magazine to hide her face before she got spotted by those nosy reporters.
"The pain of being famous." She whispered and Anxi couldn't hold back a snicker.

Since her boss hadn't been around, she arranged his office before closing for the day.
It was getting to 8pm and the sky above had darkened into nighttime, Anxi stood at the less quiet street, trying to catch a taxi.
After what happened last time, staying out any later than ten was dangerous to her.
Unfortunately, catching a taxi seems to be a problem in Yu City. She would have taken a bus if only she didn't actually close before the time passed.
Sighing deeply, she continued on her usual stroll not until a dark RV suddenly stopped just beside her making her halt in her tracks.
She paused as she watched the tinted glass go down, revealing the stunning being who sat comfortably in his car.
"Get in, it's not good to work around so late."
Anxi couldn't hide the surprise on her face at the sight of him and was immediately about to accept..
But remembering what he said to her in his office brought back the annoyance she thought had dissipated completely from her system.
"No thank you, I'll find a taxi."
"Just so you know I wasn't asking you, I'm ordering you to get in."
Anxi didn't know why she suddenly started to see the arrogant side of her boss, she was really clouded by his good looks back then to understand his attitude but right now, she doesn't want to have anything to do with him.
"You can't order me, sure you can order me around when I'm at work and based on business purposes but I'm off duty today, how I plan to get home is none of your business."
She replied haughtily and walked out, leaving Xander a bit stunned like he wasn't expecting to get rejected at all.
His bunny is starting to get feisty already? Too fast sweetie.
He got down from his car and Anxi had no idea how he managed to catch up with her, grabbing hold of her hand and turning her around to look at him.
"Nice talk, but you're coming with me."
Before Anxi could even get a chance to oppose, she was already being dragged to his car.
He was stronger than her so forcing herself free from his hold was an impossible task.
He opened the door and made her sit on the passenger's seat before closing it.
Anxi could feel the heat on her face, pressing her fingers to her cheeks while thinking about everything that had happened.
"This is embarrassing." She muttered like a child who just got bullied.
Xander, who had taken his seat on the driver's seat, turned to look at the flustered Anxi and couldn't help but picture her reaction to be so cute right now.
An idea popped in his head and he wanted to tease her even more.
Anxi who was looking flustered turned her attention to the sexy young man who was suddenly leaning close to her, her eyes widened seeing the seductive look in his black shiny eyes and her cheeks turned redder.
She cautiously shifted to the end, keeping a distance but he didn't stop and kept leaning closer, Anxi already knew he was dangerous, should she get out and make a run for it while she still can??
But her body wasn't cooperating as she remained stiff in her position and suddenly, just when their faces were inches apart, he stopped and brought his hand forward, his long feminine lashes slowly raking her up and down to the point Anxi felt like dying.
Was it just her or did this car suddenly get hot??
Her heart raced so much but what she wasn't expecting was for him to pull out the seatbelt, crossing it over her and backing away like nothing ever happened within those short moments, she nearly gaped at him.
Starting the car's engine, he didn't turn to look at her, Anxi realized what he just did and felt humiliated with herself, here she was thinking he was about to kiss her again meanwhile his intention was only to help her fasten the seatbelt.
Xander smirked a little seeing how completely embarrassed and flustered she looked.
"Ready to go?" He asked with that deep charming voice of his but she only let out a frustrated sigh and secretly glared at him.
"What do you actually want from me?" She finally asked.
She might have noticed too late but he seemed to be everywhere, even when she didn't see him she could feel his presence, like he was watching her.
"What do I want from you?" She definitely won't be able to take it just yet, he won't tell her, only when the time is right.
"The real question is, why should what I say trouble you this much miss Anxi"
"Cause…..cause…." Anxi tried to give him a befitting response but unfortunately, her little brain wasn't able to come up with a quick attack of response.
"It's dangerous to walk in the streets alone, seems you've forgotten about what happened the last time so let me remind you….."
"I rather forget."
Xander let out an exasperated sigh as took a turn at the splitting road. A few shops were still open and the street was dazzling with light.
"This is the reason why many of you make the same mistake, you choose to forget without learning from it."
His tone changed drastically as he uttered; "Maybe I should have given you to those goons, you'll probably learn your lesson the minute they're done devouring your flesh."
Those words frightened her a bit and that's exactly what Xander wanted, she won't think about walking so late next time.
"Fine, I hear you so please don't use such words like 'devouring of flesh', it sounds scary even if I don't understand what it means."
"If it scares you already, its a good thing you don't know what it means then."
Anxi gulped hard and averted her gaze, being with him was already scary enough and she just wants to get back home before he changes his mind and tells her exactly what it means to scare her further.
Anxi was finally brought home, she sighed in relief and was about to get down but stopped, turning to look at her handsome boss who made her heart skip many beats, yet unable to shrug off the feeling she's seen him somewhere before.
"Thank you, for bringing me back home sir."
"Like you said you're off duty, I prefer it better if you call me by my name instead."
Anxi blinked in surprise. "For real?"
"Formalities and I don't go so well, at work you can call me boss but when you're off duty, call me Xander."
Anxi was taken aback but nodded either way.
"Then you have to stop calling me Miss Anxi and just call me Anxi." She set down her own rules, making Xander's gaze lit up with a hint of mischief, this girl is something else.
"Of course Anxi."
She smiled. "Then it's settled Xander."
