"I'm sorry." Megu apologetically smiled at Brago. "It's dangerous for Angelica to be anywhere under this rain. But I'll think about it again when the rain passes."
"She's right," Emi agreed. "How about we discuss this topic again after the rain?"
Brago looked over at Ford, who remained tight-lipped and didn't dare to return his gaze. It was apparent on his face that he agreed with the others too.
"You . . ." Brago sighed and leaned on the backrest of his chair. "It's dangerous here."
"It's dangerous outside, too," Sheryl butted in. "The prices of everything are astronomical, and the beasts are hard to defeat despite the rewards being so meager. How could we live with that? To make matters worse, we could get killed at any time out there. Beasts, players, and even the inhabitants of this world could kill us."
At her outburst, everyone followed, and it was chaos for a time. The voices mixed together, and echoed in every corner. Cross didn't know what to do until a loud bam shut everyone up.
"Dear guests." Florin beamed as she laid the platter of chicken forcefully on the table. "Those who don't work will be thrown out. Florin thinks that it's only fair, considering that My Lord and I are working as well. Or did you think that you'll be guests here forever?"
". . ."
". . ."
With Florin's outburst, the discussion stopped, and with it, everyone agreed to work.
