She believed she had made the mistake of agreeing to that bet. But how should she know that he could read the damn thing? She was a witch, not a mind reader.

"How would I know that you translated the entire manuscript correctly?" 

She could not help but question him. She did not like losing, especially when it would mean she had no choice but to go out with this old, disgusting man.

Maybe in age, but in appearance, he still looked young and attractive. Disgusting was the last adjective she would use if they were in a different circumstance. 

But at the moment, being attracted to him was the last thing that should concern her. Other more significant issues should occupy her mind and time instead of thinking about this man.

"I have not forgotten the first language my mother and father taught me." Isaac looked with that arrogant smile covering his face. "Besides, do you have a choice?"
