Chapter 70: Chapter Seventy One

Bakugo leaned against the couch, arm resting on the back behind Mina, both continuously glancing towards the forever unforgiving clock, slowly ticking away.

Bakugo felt his eye twitch, Kirishima and Midoriya sat across on the second couch, Midoriya nervously bounced his leg, wiping his sweaty palms on his jeans—he planned on asking you to join him and his mother with All Might when they went to the festival tomorrow as a family.

Toru, Jiro and Momo sat on the floor around the coffee table painting each other's nails.

"Fuck that and fuck you!" Your voice muffled against the television, Bakugo frowned, glancing at Mina before the two of them flew up, Bakugo jumped over the couch with Midoriya hot on his trails.

The front door was almost ripped off its hinges as the group made their way outside, the warm air brushed over Bakugo's arms as he jumped down the stairs. His scarlet eyes flickered between you and Gray, who stood nose to nose, neither backing down.

"What's going on here?" Kirishima tried to be the one to defuse the situation.

"Both of you knock it off!" Shiro stepped on Kirishima's plans, inserting himself in-between you and Gray, Bakugo's warmed hands grabbed your wrist, pulling you into him seeing you didn't plan on budging. "Holy shit I'm too old for this!" Shiro glared at his brother than at his beloved sister.

"What happened?" Midoriya blinked, glancing between you and Gray who still matched each other's glares.

The three surviving bullets were always so...united in Midoriya's eyes, to see you and Gray at each other's throats felt wrong.

"I'm going to walk Gray to the car waiting to take him home-" Shiro ignored Midoriya. "-then I'm going to take a shower because I have swamp ass, can I trust no one will do anything stupid until Monday when we are all back in hell?"

You didn't reply.

"I'm not the one-" Gray started up.

"Finish that fucking sentence and I'll put your ass on the ground!" You seethed.

"Is that a threat!?" Gray tried to step up, but Shiro pushed him back.

"Does it sound like a fucking compliment!?" You shot back.

"Alright-!" Shiro shoved Gray towards the front gates, tired of giving Class C1-A a show. "-go-!" He pointed to Gray, before turning to you. "-inside, and stay there, you still have a price tag on your head."

Rolling your eyes, spinning on your heel you shoved past Bakugo, ignoring the warmth his hands brought as they trailed down your arm.

"-I mean it Five-" Shiro called over his shoulder, causing you to turn around, locking eyes, "-no bullshit."

Once again you didn't reply, reverting back to your original ways, you sorely hopped up the stairs, ignoring the confused stares of your classmates and his burning gaze on your back, you entered the dormitory.

In your room you settled at the two-person table, stretching your leg outward you pulled your gun, annoyingly pulling the clip and removing the bullets.

Cleaning your gun had always helped calm your nerves, the mindless task was always a welcomed chore. However, with each bullet slipping between your fingers, the more rage began to build, your chest felt compact, you could hardly breathe. You slammed the clip down, feeling the effects of the day taking their toll, you lowered your head onto your hands with only one question closing in on you.

How were you going to get those two out of this one?

Your bedroom door opened just then, instantly you locked your jaw, just wanting to be alone and not listen to Shiro's nagging. You turned, heart instantly stopping—Bakugo stood in the doorway, plate in hand—he glanced around your room before shutting the door behind him.

When no sound from between your lips blessed Bakugo's ears, you returned to your task on hand—reloading the clip.

"What kind are those?" Bakugo stepped behind you, leaning over your shoulder.

"The real kind."

"I thought you guys didn't carry live ammo?" Bakugo frowned, you sighed, not in the mood to deal with anymore judgement.

"What do you want?" Your tone came out unintentionally harsh.

'You.' Bakugo thought.

"I saved you and the garbage disposal some dinner." Bakugo gestured to the plate in his hand. "It was my turn to make dinner, since my shits always good those morons tend to inhale it so-"

His voice tuned out, you slowly exhaled leaning against the back rest of your chair.

"I take it the meeting didn't go well." Bakugo stated the obvious, placing the steaming food beside you, but you didn't move to touch it, causing Bakugo to frown. "You need to eat (y.n), I know how your quirk works-"

"Do you fucking need something else!?" You snapped, glaring up at him.

Bakugo narrowed his eyes, swiftly swiping the gun from your hands.

"-what the fuck-?" You blinked.

Bakugo promptly reloaded your firearm, pulling the slider back he smugly flickered his gaze, drinking in your shocked expression as he handed off the weapon.

"There-" He smirks, "-your gun is cleaned and reloaded-" He reaches to grip your hand. "-let's go watch our show-"

"No." You pull away, scowling. Bakugo's heart dropped inside his chest, you've always put up a fight, but in the end, you always went with it, but you've never rejected him before,

Bakugo stood before you shellshocked as his brain glitches.

He could argue, pick you up and make you go with him...but something about your eyes, the iced overglaze reflecting off them told him tonight wouldn't end how he planned if he did so.

"Ok." Bakugo nods, taking a small step back. "I guess I was wrong."

You frowned, turning to the blond, you weren't around long but if you knew one thing about him, it's he'd never admit he was wrong.

"-I can eat them instead." His voice caught your attention.

"Eat?" Bakugo smirked, knowing you'd pick up on the word.

"The treats I got for you."

"Treats?"

"From that little old bakery, you and that damn Starburst used to go to, but since you don't want them, I can just eat them instead, not a big deal." You watched with skeptical eyes as he moved to the door.

"What?" You stood as he exited the room.

Bakugo shifted his weight, stepping inside his room, standing beside the door leaning against the frame, nibbling on his bottom lip as the anticipation scratched at him.

A few seconds later, a broad smile crosses his face as you come trotting into his room—eyes scanning for the goods—Bakugo closed and locked the door.

"On the desk." He waved, directing you, who pulled your lips into a thin line, snatching the brightly colored box for yourself, plopping on his bed you opened the box to reveal the savory tidbits.

Bakugo hid his grin, watching from the corner of his eye, he wasn't thrilled your dinner consisted of sweets but—he frowned, turning around, noting your slacked shoulders.

"What was that about?" Bakugo wondered, turning on his TV, with a cheek full of sugary delight, you looked up.

"What?" You muffled out, causing him to chuckle.

"The fight you three had outside." Bakugo repeats, "What was it about?"

Your gaze instantly dropped to the floor.

"I can't..."

"I'm here-" Bakugo struggled to mask the disappointment in his voice how you wouldn't open up to him. "-you can talk to me or not, but I am here."

"Legally I can't." You clarified, setting the box back on his desk. "We signed an NDA."

"A nondisclosure agreement?"

"Yeah." You nod.

"Hm." He hummed; it wasn't that you wouldn't tell him—you couldn't. "We're watching the next episode, if I watch number three again, I swear I'll go insane."

You chuckled, "That's fine."

"What are you doing?" Bakugo turned, seeing you scoot back to lean against the wall.

"Uh-" You trailed off, "-building a bridge, what the fuck does it look like?"

"You know my rule."

"Rule?"

"No outside clothes in my bed." He gestures to your bullet uniform.

"Since when did you become a germaphobe?" You tilt your head to the side.

"Sue me I don't want outside germs in my bed."

"I'm not dirty." You frowned, "I've been sitting inside a room all day, if anything I'm covered in dust."

"You can use those." Bakugo motions to the foot of the bed, where a change of clothes waited.

"For what?"

"What the fuck do you mean for what?" Bakugo scowled, "Go change!"

"No." You retort.

"No?" Bakugo frowned, "What do you mean no?"

"Do you need me to spell it for you?" You smirked, "I'm not changing."

"Yes, you are."

"No, I'm not, I don't wear anything except my uniform-"

"Not tonight-" Bakugo steps towards you, "-and not in my bed."

"What the fuck are you gonna do about it?" You laughed.

"You really wanna find out?"

"Yeah, I think I do-"

You were cut off by him grabbing your ankle, yanking you to the edge of the bed.

"You sure about that Princess?" Bakugo hovers over you, caging you with his arms. You felt heat pour into your face as your heart skips.

"I-I-"

"You do not wear your uniform in this room." Bakugo's breath fanned your face, "You don't need the armor, because when you're in this room, you are safe, I will never let anything touch you."

"I-"

"Listen-" Bakugo suddenly rose to his feet, his fingers trailing down your form until they encircled your belt, causing your shirt to inch upwards. "-you've got two options: I exit, and you handle the outfit switch solo..." He suggested, his touch lingering suggestively over your bare midriff while he undid your belt, hinting at a desire to explore further. "...or I stick around and give you a hand with the wardrobe change." His trademark playful grin stretched across his face as he tugged on the belt, letting it drop carelessly to the floor. "The ball's in your court."
