Chapter 72: False Alarm?

Eros was fascinated by his connection to Coral's hellspawn dog. Reidun sat calmly on the front seat and stared into the darkness. But the angel knew exactly where she wanted him to go. 

Eventually, they pulled up before Ramiel's apartment. It was utterly dark and silent. Only the moonlight shone into the windows of the corridors. Alarmed, Eros took out his weapon, ready to summon his sword. The dog moved forward by melting with the shadows along the way. When the angel arrived at Ramiel's door, he noticed it was slightly ajar. He carefully pushed it open to pass through. 

Not a sound. The sweat on Eros' forehead was dripping. Had he come too late? 

Suddenly, Reidun yelped and disappeared into the wall. The light switched on, and he looked into Coral's grinning face.

"Boo!"
