Chapter 71: Tick Tock on the Clock

Eros looked at the time. He wanted to check on Coral badly, but he decided to postpone it for now. The only consolation he had was knowing that the Tengu was focusing on Pride at the moment. 

Together with the wolf, the two brothers took Eros' dented shuttle to The Surface. The older angel flew as he always did when he was in a hurry, eliciting curses from both Alric and the Beta. 

As they finally found their way out, Eros steered towards the setting sun. Alric was initially blinded by the fiery orb, as he hadn't seen it for weeks. 

"Heh, I'd never think I'd see the sun again," he said, shielding himself from the light.

"I'm sure you'll have plenty more opportunities once this is over." Eros gave his brother a side-eye glance. Even in the dying daylight, his blue wings sparkled. The older angel grew slightly jealous of them. Mainly because they wouldn't have to be scrubbed clean like his.
