Chapter 70: The Birth of An Archangel

It seemed like an endless journey to the top, but, in fact, it only took a few minutes. 

Eros rushed up the flight of stairs as fast as he could, disregarding the pain in his lungs. Behind him, by a margin, the rest followed, equally high on adrenaline. When he finally burst out into the hallway, the angel saw the Tengu standing opposite Alric. His brother's back was against a wooden door, and he could clearly see the distress he was having. Of course. He had never been prepared for this situation, yet he was trying to stand up against the crow bravely.

"My, my, the welcome committee has arrived." There was a smug grin on the Tengu's face, but only Alric could see it. Eros drew his Executioner's Blade. The light flickered as the shapes aggressively switched back and forth.

"I won't forgive you for what you have done to my brother," he growled. Not only had this Tengu hurt Alric, but he had also caused Coral distress. To Eros, he was the source of his woes.
