Chapter 72: Set up

"We need to go back to the bus," Steve announced to them. He watched the gate for a while and moved forward, the rest followed him. There was no help fighting, the cause was no more.

Steve felt like they'd lost the war already.

They walked back to the bus dejectedly.

They've killed the zombies outside and were about to go in when the gate suddenly started to close.

Mathias wanted them to walk through quickly but Steve had another option in mind.

It was suspicious that the gate had to close only after Max and Jake had entered. That means something horrible must have happened.

And how the heck were they keeping so many zombies in that building? And Steve suspected there were more. If not, Max and Jake could have come back. Something was happening that he couldn't quite figure out.

They entered the bus and each took a seat immediately. They were tired physically but aside from that, they were also weak at heart.
