Chapter 35: No feelings

Everybody in the equipment room stared at each other, trying to steady their heavy breathing. And minds that were about to lose it was trying to regain their sanity. They were all hungry but there wasn't a way out.

"I don't think we can go on like this," Nelson muttered, tiredly.

Cleo glared at Nelson," why?"

" Don't you understand?"It was Linda who butted in. "we are hungry and so tired. In fact I'm thirsty, I feel so dry. I don't think I can move without food.

Mark sighed.

" Why don't we stay here for a while," Desmond suggested, "and think of a solution to our hunger. Because Linda is right. What if we collapsed while running. I'm so famished as well."

Mia regarded everyone for a moment. " Why don't we try and check the lunchroom store? Snacks are kept there. If we can go there, we will definitely see something to eat. Perhaps we will get the strength to press further. "

Mark looked at Mia with hope. " I like that."
