Chapter 27: Chapter 25
I am currently in a great peril. I feel like I am about to die. I have to do something or I might die. Hazel and Eden are both very angry.
"I didn't forget about you. By the way, Eden, you can also evolve. Are you willing….."
I couldn't even finish asking her. Instantly she jumped on me and started shaking her head up and down.
Does that mean she is fine with the evolution?
"Are you sure?" I double check.
But she is still shaking her head in a 'yes' manner.
And I start her evolution.
Just like Hazel she fell asleep and I laid her down on the bed. Where Fay was sitting.
Eh.. I totally forgot about her. Or rather, her existence is too thin. It was like she wasn't even there. She has the looks to stand out but somehow she is hesitant about drawing attention to her.
"Fay, I have something to ask you."
"What is it?" (Fay)
"Are you guys really from Jupiter? From what I know, Jupiter is a ball of gas with just a rock at its core. How can you live on Jupiter?"
"We do not live on this Jupiter. It is more like a gateway to our home star. The eye of the storm is the gate from where we travel. I didn't know it was named Jupiter as well." (Fay)
"The eye? The big storm, you mean?"
"Yes. It is a big storm which is hiding a portal to our star. But it has started to lose its power. That's why, we need another star which can be our next portal." (Fay)
"That's why you chose this star."
"No. We were ordered by the gods. We received an oracle to go and investigate this star." (Fay)
"Isn't it pretty confidential then? Why are you telling me?"
"It is no use hiding anything from you. You can kill me anytime you want to. So I can do nothing against you." (Fay)
"Aren't you totally admitting defeat before even trying? I can lose too."
"No. If you can defeat them then I stand no chance against you. They might be weaker than me but they had more experience in battles. And you dispelled my curse which is actually strong."(Fay)
"I see. Since you gave me your secret, I will give you mine."
"Your secret?" Fay gulps.
"I told you that I got lost and lost my memories."
"Yes." (Fay)
"Well, that's the lie. I am the only survivor of this planet. No, the only human on this planet."
"Eh?"
Fay becomes dumbfounded. Her surprise is clearly showing on her face. Like she is frozen.
I wave my hand at her but she isn't responding. Did she actually believe me?
"Hazel, check if she's alive or not?" I tell Hazel to check her.
According to her, she is alive. She just lost consciousness while keeping her eyes open.
Is that even possible? But you may ask, why check if she's alive first? Most people would check if she's conscious or not.
But those three died so suddenly after being exposed to my serious bloodlust that I got scared for a second.
They are surprisingly frail.
"Hazel, lay her down as well. She won't be waking up anytime soon."
"Yes." (Hazel)
Hazel lays her down on the bed again and closes her eyes.
"I have a number of things to ask you as well."
I say to Hazel.
"Why were you kissing me?"
"Master, you have a bad habit." (Hazel)
"I have a bad habit. What habit?"
I never knew.
"You sleep with your mouth open." (Hazel)
Really? I never noticed.
"So I thought, this might be a good time to mark my territory. But before I could mark you completely, you woke up." (Hazel)
Thank god I woke up. If I hadn't then something might've happened.
Hazel is saying such an outrageous thing like it's nothing is kinda scary.
"Hazel, don't try to do that. Eden might pick up some bad habits."
I admonish Hazel. She is sulking.
"But master, it is my right to mark you." (Hazel)
She said another outrageous thing. I really need to have a good talk with her.
She is turning into quite the outrageous character as well.
I thought she would be the obedient and intelligent type but she is the stalker-ish type.
It hurts me but truly I am grateful to her. From the bottom of my heart.
I will wait for Eden and Fay because our next plan will be escaping from Earth.
I would love to see the planet where Fay came from. If they are not the ones who attacked us, then I have to find the real culprit.
And I need to ask Hazel about my bad habits as well so I can fix them.
If I don't, I feel that many things will be at risk.
