Chapter 76: Chapter 74: The New Hokage.
More than a month has passed since the death of Sarutobi Hiruzen, better known as the third Hokage. Some things have changed up to this point.
Some locations in Konoha were remodeled due to the destruction during the Sunagakure attack. But, even though bad things happened, this was compensated with some good things.
Lately Konoha has been receiving a lot of missions, which makes the economy of this place advance, this obviously means that there is a lot of money circulating from one side to the other.
"They didn't destroy this part of the village, but they've still remodeled some buildings..."
I look at the surroundings, observing the buildings rising from the ground. This view was somewhat unusual for him, after all, Toru was only used to seeing the old buildings in this place.
"I guess this gives the village a new look."
With his hands in his pockets, Toru took a small leap and climbed onto the roof of one of the houses. The view from the top was magnificent.
People were walking back and forth, all with a fixed destination. There were children running through the crowd with smiles on their faces, small families of three walking down the street holding hands.
Seeing the latter made a sigh leave her mouth. For a second he imagined himself, walking with a smile on his face as he held his mother and father's hand.
But for something like that to happen was never possible. Toru would stay away from his family while creating strange artifacts. Not that he has a good relationship with his father either, but now that's all in the past, they're all dead, there was nothing he could do, unless....
'I have to resume my research'
The gleam of death took over his eyes, immediately golden lines showed themselves all over existence. Golden lines that marked the weak points of all animate and inanimate beings. In that very second, his cloak and scarf danced to the rhythm of the wind, after all he was in a very high place.
In this last month, he had tried to find information about the Asahi and Uchiha clan. He visited the library in search of this precious information, bought some books about the history of Konoha, even tried to ask Yamato, however, all he had managed to discover were very trivial things about the history of these two clans.
Although, for some strange reason, he never managed to find the origin of the Asahi clan, there was no starting point, but there was an end point. Taking this as a reference, Toru deduced that someone hid the history of the Asahi clan and most of the history of the Uchiha clan.
There were no clues as to why Itachi exterminated both clans, there was no connection to the day of the event. There were no clues as to what happened next, there was nothing and this was bothering Toru.
'This is difficult, I can't seem to find anything. Although it's obvious that there must be hidden files or something, I can't just ask for them out of the blue just because I'm from the Asahi clan...'
He shook his head as he folded his arms.
So far, he hadn't managed to discover anything. The only option he had was to steal the 'secret files' so he could find out the truth, though that would obviously bring him quite a bit of trouble, so doing that was out of the question, at least for now.
Blinking a little, Toru scanned the surroundings. Now that he had the chance, he had managed to discover some interesting things about this dojutsu.
Each person, depending on his amount of chakra, the death lines in his body will move at a certain speed. If the chakra in the person's body is too little, the speed at which the death lines move will be reduced. If the chakra in the person's body is very high, the death lines will move faster.
Toru thought that using Shigan against weak enemies was a good choice, as it would be easier to cut the death lines because they move slower. Although it is also not that difficult to cut the death lines of a Chunin or Jounin rank ninja, considering that they usually have large chakra reserves.
"Ha~ I'm being spied on again..."
He sighed wearily as he felt himself being watched. This feeling of being watched had already become a normal part of Toru's life, something that, although he felt he had gotten used to, was extremely annoying.
He was being watched twenty-four hours a day. This was something that made his research too difficult.

Enough things had happened in this past month, Orochimaru, Kabuto, the mystery behind Itachi's appearance and the latest, the woman who was given the title of Hokage.
'Too many things happened, but at least I was able to go to the hot spring complex before returning to Konoha.'
Naruto had fought Kabuto, managed to defeat him, but in return he was on the verge of death, though thanks to the Kyubi's chakra he managed to save himself.
'Hm, what a grumpy old woman."
Tsunade, also known in many places as "The legendary loser" is a woman with too strong a temper, which could scare any man who gets close to her. Even Jiraiya is a little afraid of this woman, however, these two have known each other since they were children, so you could say there is some trust between them.
'Orochimaru...'
Naruto looked down at the ground with a thoughtful expression.
Jiraiya and Tsunade fought together to defeat Orochimaru, but Orochimaru in the end escaped like a vile snake.
In that place was also Kabuto, who fought against Naruto, being badly injured on the spot due to the powerful jutsu that Jiraiya taught him, the jutsu that claims the name "Rasengan".
"Ah? That guy up there is... Toru?"
Leaving the world of his thoughts, Naruto looked up and saw the black-haired boy with gray eyes .
He was standing on the roof of a house, watching the families walking back and forth with a dull expression on his face, as if that poker face had been carved on his face, giving him no chance to express his feelings.
Naruto realized at once what Toru was seeing.
'A family...'
A woman and a man, were walking hand in hand with their young son with a smile on their faces. Naruto watched this with sadness, since, like him and Sasuke, Toru didn't have a family.
On the other hand, Toru did not know how to explain this feeling. He is a twenty-seven year old man in the body of a child, it was stupid to think of a family when he himself murdered his own mother in his previous life. There was no explanation, for this. No, there was.
It must be remembered, that this boy is Alek Goosev, but also Asahi Toru, a twelve year old boy who lost his family when he was seven years old.
"Hey, Toru! Hello! Why are you up there?!"
Naruto raised his hand as he greeted Toru.
In response, he looked at the golden-haired boy for a few seconds before disappearing into thin air, only to appear in front of Naruto a second later.
"Hello..." He said with that poker expression.
Meeting Naruto in this situation was strange. A moment ago he was thinking about the family he had in this world, so the presence of this boy made him feel a bit confused. Also, 'How did he manage to see me, he's always so distracted, so it's strange that he pays attention to his surroundings.'
Toru found no logical answer to this doubt, but since it was trivial, he decided to overlook it.
"I heard he was outside the village..."
Quickly finding a topic of conversation, Toru thought it would be good to talk about something so that the situation wouldn't become awkward.
"Haha, yeah. I went with Ero-sennin to look for the new Hokage. What's more, I'm going to see her right now, she's the only one who can cure Sasuke."
"A new Hokage, huh... I guess that's why people were so lively."
"If you want, you can come with me. That way you can meet the new Hokage."
This proposal made Toru bow his head slightly with some hesitation in his head. 'She? So the new Hokage is a woman...'
This left a few more questions in Toru's head. If the new Hokage is a woman, that meant that she would be the first woman to become Hokage, since so far, all those who have held that title have been men.
Still, this was something that left him a bit shocked, as the Konoha Council had made a decision rather quickly. Thus deciding the new Hokage, the person who will be above everyone else in this village.
'It will certainly be interesting to watch this. Besides, if I know the Hokage before anyone else, I might get to benefit from it.'
With a few things on his mind, he looked up, seeing Naruto who had a slight smile on his face.
"I'll keep your words in mind."
Closing her eyes, she replied with a sigh.
Naruto felt satisfied with this, so stepping forward a bit, he looked him in the eyes while letting out a few words.
"So, what are we waiting for?"
Naruto smiled as he raised his hand.
This made Toru let out a small sigh as he started to move his legs. This day was going to be longer than usual.
-Near the Hokage Mansion.
Looking at the large building with a melancholy expression, this boy felt like his own world was breaking into pieces. Everything looked gray, a gray so depressing that it made some tears come out of his tear ducts.
His grandfather, the third Hokage, had died in battle. This left a great void in her heart, for, that day she was unable to say goodbye to him.

The sky looked gray, heralding a bad omen. The village was under attack, the ninjas were running from one side to another in order to defend their home, but the enemy was not giving in, it was getting harder and harder.
But among all this darkness and suffering, a ray of light appeared. The Hokage, Sarutobi Hiruzen stood up. He had his battle attire on, he was ready for this war.
"Grandpa..."
Konohamaru watched the man walk away, a man heading towards his own death.

The great mansion of the Hokage rose from the ground, giving a magnificent view of what was this gigantic building.
Toru has already been near this place many times, after all this was near the monument to the four Hokages, place where he usually rests and look at the scenery that this village provides him.
"Here we are. I wonder if Grandma Tsunade is here?"
Naruto looked a bit confused. Well, he wasn't sure if this woman they were soon to call Hokage had made it to the mansion without staying somewhere drinking sake or gambling some large amounts of money.
These words of Naruto also left Toru somewhat confused, as this boy, previously, looked convinced that the new Hokage was in this place.
'You brought me to this place without knowing if the Hokage is here? Well, it was to be expected, he always acts and then thinks' He put his hands in his pockets as he sighed. The difference in personality between the two is abysmal, Toru is the type to think things through more than twice, unlike Naruto who acts on his instincts.
"Well, never mind, I'm sure she's here!"
Naruto looked at Toru with this smile. In response, he looked at him with an emotionless face.
"It's not fair, no one can replace my grandfather!"
A child's voice was heard, this made Toru and Naruto look straight ahead.
A child running in a random direction. A few tears could be seen peeking out of the corners of his eyes, giving some insight into what had happened. However, Naruto didn't get a chance to ask because Konohamaru ran off, ignoring him completely.
"That was the Hokage's grandson?"
"Uh... yeah. I don't know what happened to him, but he looked angry."
Naruto managed to understand this boy a little.
Judging by the words he said while running away from reality, Konohamaru found out that there will be a new Hokage, something that didn't please him at all, leaving the latter as a result.
On the other hand, Toru thought this was a strange experience. Seeing the Hokage's grandson running at an inhuman speed while wiping away tears somehow seemed strangely uncomfortable.
'I'll talk to him later...'
Naruto sighed and closed his eyes. Just thinking about what he would say to her when they met gave him a headache.
"Let's continue, it looks like she is there..." Naruto said.
In response to this, Toru looked at the stairs that led him to the top of the mansion curiously.
'What kind of person will the new Hokage be?'
For a second, Toru's eyes glowed with the light of death in them.
