Michalski shook Lechoń's hand in greeting, which surprised the young attorney a bit. Prosecutors usually do not behave like that towards suspects or defendants. But on the other hand, it was almost certain that Adam would not hear any charges against him.
Around noon, Adam received a polite invitation to appear at the prosecutor's office to be heard. The late hour indicated that someone had his well-being in mind after a rather rough night. This was exceptionally thoughtful on Michalski's part. Adam was not even taken to the interrogation room. The interview took place in a room occupied by the prosecutor. The assessor even brought them tea.
There were three of them in the room - Michalski, Adam, and his attorney, Joanna Klimek.
“Here I have the police report prepared by Niedzic” the prosecutor announced and handed Adam a piece of paper. “He got tense. I've never seen the police work so efficiently before.”
