Chapter 245: Maybe It Has To Be Like This

Aquila knocked softly on her eldest son's door, feeling the need to talk further about the commotion Arthur had made when he arrived home. She had managed to calm her husband, who was still brimming with anger.

"Arthur? May I come in?" Aquila asked gently, deeply concerned about her son's condition.

After a moment, the door slowly opened, revealing Arthur, looking just as distraught as before.

Oh, dear God. Aquila couldn't bear to see him like this.

She entered her son's cold, dimly lit room, the lights not even switched on. She gazed sorrowfully at Arthur lying back on his bed. She could hardly believe that her son—the one who always brushed off feelings and played around with women—was now so shattered because of a woman.

Aquila sat beside Arthur, gently stroking his hair. "When did you start having feelings for Lea? Was it from the first time you brought her here?" she asked softly.
