Chapter 22: CHP22 Living Free

Along time had passed since I first set off with Malivore. With there being no Freya with us to hide my adopted son's appearance, we were forced to travel remotely. This didn't stop some humans from spotting us though, leading to myths of the golems in the areas in which we travelled through.

With Malivore not having yet developed his ability to shapeshift or create vessels and not wanting to keep causing a ruckus everywhere we went, we was forced to live on the land as our ancestors would of done many moons ago.

We lived like that for years until he could finally shapeshift down to the size of a human, his ability to create vessels for himself will take years of experimentation to develop, so we ignored that for now.

I was constantly during this time, teaching Malivore about life and all he would need to know about supernatural civilization and even humans as well.

When his body was able and his mind educated, we set off from our little camp we had set up and our next stop was to be Elijah.

I had got in contact with him before leaving, to find where he was at. Surprisingly he wasn't in Europe but in fact was in Africa with his girlfriend, Aya. Apparently she had wanted to travel there to show Elijah where her family was originally from.

Taking Malivore on boat would be a challenge in it's self, so to make things easier for myself I turned the crew or the ship into vampires, so they would be less likely to killed by my son in an accident. It was not like he was likely to just start killing randoms, especially humans but he found humans very fragile and easy to break, he once told me so.

When we arrived to Africa, I was contemplating what to do about the vampires. Should I kill them? Let Malivore eat them? Should I leave them alive but compel them to behave themselves? But I finally made the decision to let them live. I did turn them against their will, so as repayment I would let them live and if they ever came back to cause trouble for me or my family, I would gladly set a pack of wolves on them and watch as they are ripped apart, piece by piece.

Malivore had just stepped of the boat, I was right behind about to do the same but first before leaving I said a few words to the vamps.

"You lot." I said speaking to fiending vamps, who hadn't had any other blood other than from aquatic creatures I had caught on the ride. "No causing to much mayhem. I don't mind if you go about killing some humans but the leader of the African Supernatural Community is a very powerful witch, some i would advise you to be discreet.

The captain of the ship replied with avid desperation for blood, "I need blood, BLOOD. PLEASE SIRE GIVE ME BLOOD!!"

I watched as they started to go mad, feeling a little responsible but I then remembered that I don't care, so I left but my heroic side decided to show up and dashed a few discarded bodies from the small tribe that i feasted on and left, knowing that my good deed for the day had been done.

"Father Klaus," Malivore said to me as joined back up with him. "When will we be meeting Uncle Elijah?" His voice was very unique, it was deep but also quiet at the same time.

"You will see your Uncle Elijah soon." I replied to him, "He's only a day of travelling away."

"Im hungry as well Father, I've not ate anything other than fish since leaving." Malivore said to his father.

"There should be some something you can eat around here," I said, "We will look okay?"

Malivore simply replied, "Okay Father."

When they found some creature for him to feast on and his hunger nearly fully sated, they started to head in the direction of Elijah. Not arriving until the next night.

They arrived to the tribe where Aya was originated from. They found Elijah, who was appreciating the culture, taking part as if he was truly a part of it.

"You look strange, without all the fancy clothes." I said once first looking at his attire.

"Yes well, they are not allowed apparently." Elijah replied, looking over his fit with longing for his old clothes.

"I can see your plight brother," I replied, "Going from living like a king to living as we use to back in our human days must be nostalgic though."

"It sure is," Elijah replied wistfully. "I've not been hunting since Father was alive."

"It's Over 200 years since then. Where does the time go Niklaus?"

"I'm not sure brother. All we can do is try our best to enjoy eternity, as much as we can." Klaus replied seeing his brother was getting nostalgic.

"Eternity." Elijah said drawing out the word.

"At least we are not alone brother, we have each other and our other siblings to waist away the time with." Klaus said trying to comfort his older brother.

The words seemed to knock Elijah out of his daydreaming. "Forgive me brother, i didn't mean to reflect so heavily."

"No need for forgiveness Elijah. Your not the only one who wonders." I replied. We both hugged before Elijah asked. "Where is the kid then?"

"He's resting but he will be awake soon. You can see him though." I replied and directed him to where Malivore was currently sleeping.

As we watched him rest we continued to speak. "I'm assuming you adopted him?" Elijah said not 100% positive that his brother would stay faithful to Aurora after all this time.

"Of course brother. I'm not one to break a vow." I replied of course speaking of mine and Aurora's marriage vows.

"Just making sure brother." Elijah replied, "Where did you find him then? Golem's are quite rare."

"A witch, vampire and a werewolf had teamed up to destroy the supernatural creatures in their area, leading to the creation of him. We found him in North America, near where we grew up." I replied.

"I assume you dealt with the group?" Elijah said, knowing his brother was one to hold grudges and trying to eliminate his people was definitely something worth holding a grudge over.

"No I let them flee," Klaus replied, "I did make sure to remember the names though,"

"If i ever hear their names pop up, to do we something like this again, they will be dealt with accordingly."

Elijah of course new his brother meant murder, pitying any fool who would dare cross any member of his family.

After finishing their conversation and Malivore still not having waked, Elijah decided to introduce Klaus to the members of Aya's tribe in the meant time.
