Chapter 5: CHP5. Advancing along the foodchain

1067 AD
I was currently located in my lab which was at the bottom of the mountain which me and Aurora lived.
I had spent some time years ago building this place with the help of some hybrids of mine so i could do all types of experiments i wanted to do. This place was filled with everything i would ever need.
This place took a lot of effort to create. I first had to get the required knowledge to use the equipment and find capable people who could teach me everything i would need to know.
Thanks to the HOSO, i didn't have to go looking myself. I had sent a message asking to find the brightest scientific and mathematical minds.
With compulsion in effect i spent years learning from them, absorbing all their knowledge so that I could work on my first creation which will be used to enhance myself and my siblings.
It was an elixir to boost my power levels through the roof. I had my hybrids collect the venom of all of the different werewolf packs and i myself went to get the blood of a Mikaelson witch.
I had my loyal witches help me track down where Dalhia was. But they were to weak to break her protection spell, so i would have to do it the hard way.
I headed to Norway with some hybrids and we searched around. We tracked down some witches and asked them to help us find Dalhia and if they new who she was.
With realizing how much time it would take to search the whole of Norway on foot, i turned many random people into vampires and compelled them to follow my hybrids order while i left back home waiting for news of the location.
So a few years later, my hybrids messaged me telling me that they think they had found her, I quickly heaed back to Norway but not before telling Finn about the situation and bringing him along.
With myself and Finn in Norway we headed to the location, bringing along some powerful witches to help if needed.
Once at the location we noticed that the placed was protected with a magical barrier keeping anyone from entering or leaving.
So we spent days just breaking the barrier with the combination of the witches powers, until it finally fell and we could enter.
When we entered we saw 2 coffins lay there. I approached one and Finn approached the other. We opened them up and found Freya and Dalhia body's asleep.
Finn was ecstatic, finally reuniting with his big sister after all this time. That was until i told him that she would be asleep for many years to come. Since they where to be asleep for 100 years and us not knowing the exact time they went into this state we couldn't be certain when they'd wake but we could make an educated guess by how old she looked. So by our estimations it wouldn't be at least another 35 years before she awoke.
While this did lower his mood knowing that his sister was alive and seeing her in person was enough to keep his happy.
I would take the body's of Dalhia and Freya back to my space in Scotland so that i could keep an eye and do some experiments. Finn was unwilling to part with Freya so we made a compromise that i will be taking it back but he could live with me in Scotland until she awoke. Our time spent together did serve to make us closer and improve our strained relationship.
Now back in Scotland i showed Finn and few nice location's that he could live and left him to his own devices for now.
With the blood of a Mikaelson witch secured, all that's left for the spell was White Oak and i had none, so i to track it down.
I got my loyalist of witches, the ones i know have my back and will not betray me to track this down discreetly. When it was finally located i collected every single piece and brought it back for safe keeping, storing it where only i knew not even telling Aurora.
With everything i need all that's left was to test it, there is no way that I'm gonna test it on myself. So I used baby vampires that i had created in Norway as my lab rats and got to work. I created a lesser serum with no werewolf venom just one that will enhance you up onto baby Original level with all the same powers. This serum took 3 years to perfect, with all the other responsibilities i had going on.
With that serum working i added the venom's of every werewolf pack and prepared to turn into a superior version of myself. I was sure it would work but i was still a little nervous of course.
Aurora and I had discussed many years ago what i was working on, but i don't think she realized that she was going to be the one to kill me. I had tried to drive the stake through my own heart but i was unable, my fear of death was to strong so I needed someone who i could trust to it for me.
"I cant kill you Nik, I love you." Aurora told me.
"I know, i love you too but if you love me, I need you to be strong and do this for me." I replied.
After a few more minutes she finally agreed on one condition.
"If I does this, you have to promise you will marry me and that we will start a family as soon as its over." She said.
"If that's what you wish, so it will be." I replied.
With the agreement made we got ready and she finally drove the stake through my heart as we looked into each others eyes. My face kept stoic as my strength faded and she gently lade me on the ground waiting for me to wake up a new and improved me.
I was only dead for about 5 minutes before waking up. With excitement I burst up of the ground to explore all of my enhancements and limits but not before giving Aurora a kiss and making sure that she was okay.
"Don't be to sad love." I said "I'll have to do the same for you, there is no way I'm gonna let my soon to be wife walk around killable, with some everyday wooden stake."
This brough a small smile to her face, we ending up spending some time together before i told her i need to go down to my lab and record the data for the experiment.
So now back by myself in my lab i wrote down my findings and recorded all the data for future use, so that i could see where it could be improved.
I recorded an almost tripled increase in my psychical abilities, mentally i was so advanced, my mind was completely my own i could control it with ironclad control and had even started to build a mind palace. My need for blood had decreased after the first few weeks, since the experiment my thirst for blood was seemingly endless but not that i had moved past that stage i could survive with no blood for at least a month.
Another interest things was now my blood had different effects on people. Now if i was to feed blood to any creature that wasn't at its physical peak they would be pushed to their limit after 12 hours of it being in their system.
I also found that my blood would inspire loyalty and create a connection sire-bond like with humans, witches and werewolves. Vampires on the other hand we seemingly immune to this type of sire-bond.
I've tested the different venoms that i now possess. First with humans then moving up the food chain. Humans will die in under a minute, werewolves will be able to fight it off for around 5 minutes before succumbing and witches will die in around 2 minutes. Vampires on the other hand have it the worst, they wont just die relatively quickly but will spend hours in agony before finally succumbing to an agonizing death.
