Chapter 74: Chapter 74 - Claw

Arendt gathered the army Lord Cardis had prepared himself to face the world. He then entered the tent, informing Lord Cardis that his troops were ready to attack.

However, it was awkward inside the tent, as if Lord Cardis had already lost the zeal to prolong his life. If only he hadn't sworn to destroy the world.

"Are you satisfied now? Is your life goal achieved now?" Lord Cardis asked flatly, staring at the bitterness on my face.

My canines were stuck on his palm. I was afraid I would bite off the muscles of his hand if I attempted to get his hand out of my mouth.

Arendt entered the room shortly. He forgot how to speak, looking at us. How embarrassing! I thought.

"Will you let go of my hand?" Lord Cardis asked as I sent him a burning glare. "Indeed, a leech," he mumbled, cautiously freeing his hand from my bite.

I barely sucked even a drop of his blood. What a waste of my reputation for nothing! I thought, scrunching my nose in disgust.
