Claire received a lot of attention from the nobles since she was a human. Werewolves seemed to have a weird fascination with humans. Vampires would always consider them as emergency food.

Those wolves didn't even have an idea that she was not even a pure human. I yawned as there was not much to do at the party. As I was the empress, I had no choice but to engage myself in the boring conversation with the officials of the royal court. I glanced at Xavier and found him struggling in the same situation.

As our eyes met, I looked away. I noticed Claire was standing in a corner quietly. I couldn't fathom why she was acting all gloomy and depressed. She seemed perfectly fine two days ago while accusing the Luna and falling into Xavier's arm.

"Lady Claire," I called her calmly.

Claire seemed intimidated by my approach. She was standing, folding one arm over her chest, grabbing the elbow of the other arm. She didn't even bow to me. She really was audacious.
