Chapter 30: Chapter 30 - Palace

I could get a gist of the bewitching features of the young man that stuck to me nothing but the impression of astonishing beauty. His long, silver hair wafted around his tall figure like a white flame. A thin, white robe was loosely hanging from his delicate yet masculine shoulders, matching the depth of his winter gray eyes. His face was like the moon, pale and exhausted.

"A vampire?" the words escaped his lips before I fell on the sand, losing my consciousness.

When I opened my eyes, a familiar ceiling appeared before my eyes. I looked around, realizing that I was in my bed-chamber. Everything that happened the night before seemed unreal in the lovely morning rays entering through the massive windows.

However, the discomfort and exhaustion from running washed away all the perplexities. I got up hastily, staring at my wrists. The bruises from the cuffs were fading slowly. Cassius failed to catch me without any doubt. My face became bitter thinking about him.
