He waved at the grandma who was dumbstruck, the little guy tricked her and had taken her granddaughter away.

Gu Zhu started talking to Shen Xi
"Do you know what game we are going to play? Hide and seek, have you played some before?"
"Yes"
"With who?"
"Big Brother and Big Sister"
"Don't worry about those friends of mine, feel free to do anything when we get there"
Shen Xi only nodded her head in response and hung her head low.
Soon they got to a crowded place full of kids older than her.
"Whos that?" a fat boy pointed at Shen Xi and asked Gu Zhu.
"She's Shen Xi, my new friend" Gu Zhu pulled Shen Xi to his side to prevent her from getting missing.
"Wow your friend is so cute, look at her long hair"
"Will she join us or she's just gonna sit there and watch us?" the fat boy asked again
"Shen Xi, would you join us?" Gu Zhu tilted his head and asked her but she shook her head in denial. Most of the kids there saw her as boring and shy.
As she sat there and observed them, her eyes immediately caught sight of someone and her eyes lit up. She walked towards him and sat by him.
"Hello Young master" she greeted him with a smile.
The young guy didn't realise she was there until he heard her voice.
"You? What are you doing here" he looked at her coldly
"Let me tell you a little secret but you must promise to not tell anyone, it's my grandma's birthday party "
He looked at her and got up to leave but she held him back " Why are you leaving so soon? let's chat for a while"
He pulled his hand from her grip and walked away but she followed him" Since you refuse to speak with me I'll just follow you"
He stopped walking which caused her to bump into him
" Ouch" she screamed in pain
"What do you want from me?" he asked without caring about her head that hurt
"I just want to be your friend"
"Forget about it"
Shen Xi stopped following him and mumbled something before turning to leave annoyed.
Lu Chai walked to where his family were gathered. His elder cousin Lu Chong was chatting with his father Lu Chugbu while his mother Zhei Lei was chatting with his grandfather Lu Chongqing.
"Lu Chai" his big brother called out to him. Lu Chong and Lu Chai looked quite alike and some people regarded them to be twins. Lu Chong was 12 years already.
"Big Brother"
"Lu Chai" his father also saw him and walked towards him. Lu Chugbu was a man who was neither fat nor slim, he was tall and very handsome as well.
"Father"
Lu Chugbu saw how his son had grown up although he was just 6 years.
"How have you been?" his father asked
"Well, father will you stay?" he asked the question he wanted to ask
"No, I only came here for Madam Shen's birthday, I still have some business so I'll be going"
"Hmm"
"Lu Chai!" a woman's voice filled with joy was heard.
Lu Chai run and hugged his mother, Zhei Lei picked up her son from the floor and carried him.
"Mum missed you so much, baby," she said with tears in her eyes. Lu Chai's soft spot and the person he cared about the most was his mother, seeing her cry made his heartburn, he reached out and wiped her tears.
"Mama don't cry"
"Darling mum is sorry, mum was busy and forgot about you, don't be angry with mum"
"I'll never be angry with mum because she's the best"
The two hugged each other for a while before Lu Chai was placed back on the ground.

Shen Xi hid in a corner and watched Lu Chai interact with his family when someone tapped her from behind. It was that fat boy from earlier who was asking Gu Zhu many questions.
"You, clean my shoes for me" he ordered
Shen Xi frowned upon hearing what the fatty said.
"Why should I clean your shoes? Don't you have servants?" Shen Xi sized him up.
"What? you don't want to do it? you should be happy that someone like me asked you to clean the shoes"
"I will never clean these filthy shoes of yours"
"How dare you call my shoes filthy? do you know how much they cost? Even if you were sold a hundred times that amount will never add up" the fatty pushed her and she fell to the floor.
"What are you going to cry?" he teased her
Shen Xi stood up and kicked his leg before pushing him as well to the floor.
"Don't you dare ever touch me" she pointed out her tiny finger and warned him.
"Do you know who I am? I'm from the worthy Sun family, do you know what my family will do to a filthy thing like you if they found out you pushed me? I might let it go if you accept to crawl on your knees and lick my shoe" the fatty boy spoke with a smirk on his face.
"I'm never going to do that" and with that, she walked away.
The Shen family although being the third most powerful family in the country were known to always keep a low profile, because of this not most people knew the members of the Shen family.

The fatty whose name was Sun Yun walked angrily toward his mother and father and reported what the little girl had done to them, they fumed with anger and followed him to find that girl who dared to push their son.
