Chapter 109: Red and Blue

A swirling red energy circled around Alex's body as he floated in a seemingly endless sea of darkness. He couldn't feel anything, he couldn't see anything. He quickly realized that not all of him was there, he had no body, just his mind.

'I feel empty... physically, emotionally, even my power is gone. Or is it? This energy around me...'

He extended his will towards the swirling mass, trying to touch it with his intentions since he lacked a physical presence in this space. The energy came to a sudden stop, freezing in place like time had been paused, before it resumed its motion in the way Alex willed it.

The energy swirled, twisted, turned and gathered however he saw fit, obeying his commands without restraint. It was immediately clear, this was no foreign energy, it was the very same power he had carried inside of him ever since he had become a User.
