Chapter 101: Transfer

"I'm going to give you one of my abilities."

"I'm sorry, what!? You're going to give one of your abilities... to me!? Why would you do that?" Jacob spoke with an incredulous tone as he tried to wrap his head around what Alex was planning to do.

"I wanted to test it and I needed somebody to test it on." Alex said with a shrug before he continued. "The reason I picked you is because you're my mothers bodyguard and she trusts you, having an ability will allow you to protect her with greater efficiency. We're also friends now so why not?"

'I considered giving an ability to Tom but I don't know how all this works just yet, it's horrible to say it but I'd rather lose Jacob than Tom. Also, I know for a fact that Tom would want a flashy ability like my lightning but now that I know about Synchronization, that's not an option. He'll have to wait until I find an ability that I think he'll like, I should ask him if there's anything he would specifically want too...'
