'I tried to push it for as long as possible but I couldn't wait any longer, I can't do that to Sarah.' For the past hour Alex had been using his new ability, regeneration, as much as possible to heal his wounds but there were two problems involved with the process.

The ability wasn't as efficient as he had initially hoped and was only able to heal minor injuries quickly. The large stab wound on his side from the broken piece of wood at Tom's house took much longer to heal, almost forty minutes in total. Still, that was only the second longest among all the injuries, the one that took the longest was the broken ribs he received from that first attack to his chest.
