Chapter 31: Cowards

"How have you been?" Mr Benedict asked all smiles when Skylar stepped into the living room.

"Fine, sir" Skylar replied before he reached out for a handshake. Things have always been awkward between them with Skylar finding it difficult to refer to him as 'Dad'.

"Let's head to the dinning room" Mr Benedict gestured with his hand as he led the way.

"I heard the uprising of mafia lords in the north are as a result of a plot to take you down." Mr Benedict was worried for his son. If the meeting that will be held tomorrow decides to have Skylar go settle matters there on his own, it means that his life is in danger.
