Chapter 18: Chapter 19: Lunch with the Shrew

Diego aka Arrow’s POV

“I’m getting tired of being beckoned into his office at his every whim,” Marcell complained.

I got out of my car, meeting him in the driveway of my uncle’s estate. Together we walked up the driveway into the estate, passing the staff gathered in the lobby polishing a variety of items in an attempt to keep themselves busy and out of my uncle and his men’s way.

“When are you going to put a bullet in this man’s head and just end all of our misery?” Marcell muttered under his breath, and though I knew there was no one around us that would hear his treacherous words, he needed correcting.

Never unnecessarily violent with my cousin but acting purely out of fear, I pushed Marcell into an unoccupied room.
