Chapter 58: 2-8 It's not Known (Part 2)

"Jared please…." Verma, Jeer's mother sobbed uncontrollably as she wedged herself between his sword and her son. The son that she had out of wedlock with the love of her life, which was obviously not the Jared in front of her.

She was already pregnant with him when she had been 'forcibly' married to Jared. At first, she had refused the marriage but as a Princess of the land, she needed to fulfil her duties to the crown, her parents had said. 

In the hopes of deterring the new man, Jared, from the impending marriage, she had told him about her pregnancy and the man that she loved, but the plan had backfired because instead of backing out, Jared had promised to love and take care of both her and her unborn child like it was his own.
