Kline POV

I slam the front door to my home, stomping all the way to the kitchen. It’s been nearly 24 hours since Maverick “talked” with me and my anger hasn’t settled down one bit. How dare Maverick threaten me. How dare he think he even stands a chance against me. I will rain down a torrent of misery upon him, mark my words.

Grabbing a glass, I fill it with cool water. Not even my morning run was able to calm my nerves. In fact, I couldn’t take a few steps without wanting to punch something. When I realized it was pointless to try and exercise, my next option was to just return home.

Unable to even take a sip, I throw the glass across the kitchen, unsatisfied with the way the glass shatters and water splashes.

“Reginald!”

My staff manager comes waltzing in, head bowed, “yes, sir.”

“Clean that up.”
