Sliding my phone back into my pocket, I let the message go ignored. I doubt I’ll have need for any of the contacts in there anymore. Maverick will soon be out of the way, and Soleil will warm my bed.

Although, it never hurts to change things up a bit. What Soleil dosen’t know won’t hurt her. I have an extensive palette that is difficult to satisfy.

Her job is breeding pups, anyway.

The library is quiet this time of day. Not even the servants venture to this part of the home. No, they know from late afternoon till dusk, this is my space. Quiet, undisturbed, and full of knowledge. I planned everything in this very room.

I solidified my place as king here.

Standing at the curtained floor-to-ceiling walls on one side of the library, I had the perfect view of the pack. For miles, the pack lands bustled with life.

And soon, it would be mine.
