With the actual big day finally arriving, Mary’s head was in a bit of a whirlwind. She was extremely thankful for Kimiko, Mama DiSpirito, as well as Eva, for the assistance with setup, decorating, and the caterer that Mama DiSpirito insisted that they hire. The nervous bride stood in front of the vanity mirror while Kimiko pinned the last few rose flower clips into her hair while she read over the notes she made for her wedding vows. Mary watched Kimiko take a step back and survey her soon to be sister-in-law, as she began to fan her face to will the tears away.
“This is it.” Kimiko said quietly. “It’s finally time. I’ve been wanting to see my brother get married for the longest time and now?” She gestured to Mary with excitement. “I can’t imagine him with anyone else.”
“Good. Me neither.” Mary winked. “Never thought I’d see this day myself, but here we are.”
The door behind them opened and in stepped Rocco, who was adjusting the cuff on his jacket.
