The room fell silent and Takeshi felt every eye falling on him. His scowling eyes stayed glued on Takagawa, his anger barely leashed. His nostrils flared and calmed as he breathed deeply, mentally counting to 10. Finally, he gave Takagawa an answer to his proposal.

“No.” He said, deathly calm.

Takagawa’s face slowly turned red with anger. “What did you say to me, boy?”

“I said, no.” Takeshi repeated a bit louder. “You stroll into my father’s home, taking advantage of our hospitality and thinking that we’ll just bend over backwards for you? Not only do you overestimate your power, but I know it didn’t escape your attention that I belong to another. I know how fast good news likes to travel in this business.”

Takagawa slammed his fist on the table. “You need to teach your boy some manners, Miyamoto! At least teach him to be quiet like the other one!”
