Chapter 5: My Unexpected Interest.
I walked out of the basement still keeping an eye out for wings and amber eyes.
' Do you know what he wanted? ' I said in my head.
' He's interested in you. ' it said simply.
' Lovely, just what I need. ' I grumbled.
' Oh, don't act like you weren't entranced by those wings and amber eyes. I am in your head now, there is no lying and no hiding from me. ' it crooned.
' Shut up! they were nice wings! ' I said frustrated.
' Keep telling yourself that. ' it laughed bitterly.
I entered my room and thankfully Koibito was fast asleep and I dove into the files.
I realized when I started reading them that we each had a demon we were assigned to watch and I was the only one with two demons assigned to me. I still skimmed through the others so just incase I needed to back them up with them.
I read the one that Tsubasa was assigned to first. The demon he was to watch had red hair, ocean blue eyes, two long horns, and a long scar over his left eye. His information was simple but still enough to give us an idea about how to handle them.
The file read:

Extra Notes: Beware of his claws and horns, he hones the ability to see into your mind. He can simply crush your mind and you would be nothing more than a empty husk.
Warning: He had no need for close up battles simply because if you have your mind open he can wipe away everything that you are.
I just skimmed through each of them but not my own yet. I needed to give them to the others so they can be prepared for tomorrow. I walked to Koibito and woke her up. She groaned but she sat up.
" What is it, Nikku? " she asked.
I Handed her her file and she rose a delicate eyebrow in question.
" You were assigned to this demon and you need to know this information. " I said as she took the file.
I walked out of the room and to Tsubasa, Kiri and Sukuras' room. I gave Tsubasa his file and Gave Kiri and Sukura theirs.
" You woke us up for files? " Sukura snapped.
" Just read it before you go back to sleep you damn snob! " I snapped back.
I slammed the door and went to Choseki and Arashi's room. I handed them theirs and went to Kurudo and Ikari and handed them their files. I knew I should have went to look over my files but instead I went straight to Basu's Office. I reached his door and knocked twice.
His voice spoke from inside.
" Please, come in. I've been waiting. " He announced.
I walked in and silently shut the door before turning towards him and silently sitting in the chair facing him.
" Have you looked at your files yet, nikku? " He asked to look up from yet another file.
" No, um I just had the urge to come talk to you. Its about the demons and how we are going to introduce them to us. " I edged.
" Fantastic, I had a feeling you would ask that and I have an answer for it. You will act as a sort of Student mentor and guide. Your schedule has changed to fit the two demons you're assigned to. You will act as if they are just normal students who wanted Upperclassmen as their escorts. " he explained with a smirk that managed to be scolding at the same time.
" Yes, sir. Why do I have two? The others only have one or they are sharing one. " I said.
' See you whine too much ' the phoenix whispered in my head.
' Shut up, I didn't ask you. ' I hissed back.
" Thats because I trust that you can handle them , you are by far the strongest hashira's besides if you ever want to give one to someone else just ask me and I'll give it to Kiri. I suspect that you'll want to Trade one? "
" Yeah, do you have an extra copy of both of them? " I asked.
" Of course I do. " He said handing me two files.
I opened them and the sight of the first one had my throat closing in horror and fear.
He had white hair and his mouth was stitched or at least appeared to be stitched and was bleeding. I threw that file on his desk and pointed at it.
" That one give it to Kiri, I don't think I can handle or stomach looking at him for more than three seconds. " I squeaked.
" Okay, it is done." He said handing the file to me
" Thanks, Bosu! " I said.
" Here is your new schedule. I will make the others get up earlier so you may meet with your assignments and personally escort them to every event, class, eating place, anything and everything. " He said with a sense of finality.
" With all due respect, get some damn sleep, Bosu. You work to much, I worry about you. Your like my dad. " I said softly.
He chuckled smiling so big he looked about my age instead of sixty eight.
" You know I feel the same way. I love you kiddo, and I promise to get some sleep. " he said smiling softly.
" See you early in the morning. " I said before slipping out into the hall way closing the door behind me. As I made my way to my room I could've sworn I felt those amber eyes on me and I could hear the rustling of wings. I shook the thought and headed to Kiri's dorm.
He opened the door and looked awake.
" What's up? " he asked.
" Here I get sick looking at him, he is your assignment you no longer have to share. Goodnight. " I said slipping the folder into his hands before storming off. I headed to my room and slipped inside where Koibito sat casually reading her file. She looked up in time to see me walking to the desk and sitting down.
" You seem to be very disturbed. " Not a statement but a question.
" I am, I gave my second demon assignment to Kiri. It scares the living shit outta me the more I look at it. " I said shuddering.
" Well, try not to be too loud I'm going to turn in for the night. " She huffed turning off her lamp and rolling over and going smoothly into a sound sleep.
I opened my file and it took all I had to keep from falling backwards in my chair in shock and I wish I didn't have it for him.
I now stared at those Amber eyes that I kept feeling on me and those black wings that rustled every once in a while. I read quickly commiting everything to memory. I went to bed that night dreaming about that man with those amber eyes that had my breath quickening and heart racing.
