Chapter 116: Now You See Me, Get Lost

Once reading the message sent by his incompetent driver, Nate shot up from his seat. "I have to go," he announced.

His father, currently sipping his piping hot tea, raised an eyebrow at that. Even without saying anything much, it was clear that the look he gave Nate was those of displeasure.

The tall, dark, and handsome stopped on his track, right before the tip of his fingers could reach the door handle. He was so close. If only he didn't turn his head back, he wouldn't have to face that displeased frow. Although, he could still feel his father's boring stare on the back of his head.

Nate cleared his throat, trying to mask his impatience to leave. "I forgot I have to talk to Keira about something."

"As if there is no tomorrow?" Rick's other eyebrow raised, the bottom of his cup clattered against the smooth coffee table. It was only a simple move with small sound as effect, but Nate knew fairly well that it was his father's irritation speaking.
