"Date?" I just repeated what he said. I pushed him back for a bit, displaying an expression that fluctuated between confusion and concealed pleasure. "After trying to get close to Cleopatra, you casually asked me out?" My eyes are horrified. No, that's not what my response should be. But somehow, the corner of my mind rebelled demanding that I accept his invitation.

    "It's easy to convince Cleopatra that we're close ..." His hand tugged at my chin, forcing my eyes to meet with his mesmerizing eyes.

    "Close?" Again I repeated his words like a fool who needs healing therapy. "What do you mean by using the word 'close' like earlier?"

    "You want me to repeat it, hm?" He laughed awkwardly. "Like this." Without needing my permission, he pressed his lips to mine, ignoring my flinching reaction.

    That's when I heard another voice behind me. Which automatically makes me feel like I'm choking on something. "Oh, Elsie. I am looking for you."
