The cave began to light up as a huge shadow appeared on the brightened stone.
Ian desperately scanned around to find anything he could use as a weapon.
*BOOM*
The footsteps of the creature increased in volume, getting closer than ever before to Ian. With no luck, Ian grabbed a fairly large stone, praying that it would deem worthy to be used in the plan he formulated recently. Ian then picked up dozens of similar rocks. On his 45th rock, his head rose to view a creature of pure beauty.
{Wandering Moonsprite has been discovered.}
{Moonsprite -
Beginner Rank Level 4
Strength: 70
Defense: 280
Speed: 110
Potential: 500}
Ian got a notification that let him slightly understand the creature in front of him. The moonsprite was a magnificent creature that specialized in potential the most, lacking in other areas. Not only this, but the body of the moonsprite was a translucent blue with light reflecting off it.
The moonsprite flew up in the sky and began to charge up one of its potential type skills, [Mind Break], which allowed the user to lower to decrease the strength of the enemy by 10%. Ian also felt a slight headache as he rushed away from the levitating moonsprite.
Despite the debuff that made his strength weaker, Ian had no hesitation as he spammed [Rock Throw], which took 2% of his mana each throw.
{Critical Hit!} {Critical Hit!} {Critical Hit!} {Critical Hit!} {Critical Hit!} {Critical Hit!} {Critical Hit!}
Damage beyond Ian's imagination occurred. A barrage of notifications appeared in his mind, notifying Ian about the immense amount of critical hits he was pushing out. He recalled the time Artemis called getting a single critical hit "lucky". Despite this, Ian soon finished up 44 of his 45 rocks, all critical hits.
One must know that a regular critical hit doubled the inflictor's damage. Normally a rock throw dealt by a Novice rank dealt around 1 damage, but the critical hits allowed [Rock Throw] to deal closer to 2-3 damage. Even with Ian being only Novice rank, his damage reached that of a beginner, which was the rank Artemis had shown on Ian's fateful encounter with her.
By the 44th rock, the moonsprite's defense was precisely cut in half, leaving only 140 hp remaining. Leaving only one rock remaining, Ian switched to the second phase of his plan. The skill [Blade Slash] was yet to be used, and although Ian had faith that it could deal huge damage, it all relied on whether or not the rock could be counted as a blade by the system showing his stats.
As the sudden attacks from Ian came to an end, the moonsprite became enraged. It was not planning to be a test dummy for Ian to use freely. The moonsprite flew closer to Ian, shifting to its melee attacks. A thorn arose from its body as it swiftly swung it directly towards Ian's torso.
