Chapter 2: Prologue: Before Reincarnation 02: Life Story
[Luke PoV]
"So where am I? I remember dying because of the blood loss and the explosion of that Mortem thingy.. so where am I? why is so dark in here? am I on the road to Purgatory?? shit! that sucks!" after 30 mins. of waiting in this Darkroom. I have nothing to do. So I started to recall my last life from the day I was in the orphanage to the day I started hunting the Mortifer and dying.
<Flashback>
In the year 2002, Earth
I was 5 years old, Living in an Orphanage in the Philippines, why was I in the Orphanage at a young age you may ask? well, it's because of the death of my parents due to a car accident when I was 1 year old. luckily I survive that accident but at the cost of the death of my biological parents. when the authority came to the accident site, I was founded by rescuers and the police and then they transferred me to the care of the orphanage because of the lack of information about me and my parents. so with that, I lived my life in the Orphanage with other children like me and the sisters who are taking care of us.
Alright back to the story, I was 5 years old, when Old Man Ray decided to adopt me from the orphanage, you might wonder how was I adopted by an old man? well, I will also tell you because I don't have anything to do right now besides recalling my life so here it is. Old Man Ray is a helper in the Orphanage he always gives us food supplies every week. and play with other children like me and also bought us toys and other things. he also share with us his favorite mangas like Naruto, One Piece and many more. that was the start when my life as a badass otaku started because of the influence of Old Man Ray.
So yeah at some point Old Man Ray decided to adopt me because he said that I was like his own child because of our similarity. at first, I was skeptical to be adopted by Old Man Ray, because what the fuck??! I was thinking maybe he is into young guys thingy. which I heard other people saying in the Orphanage and some topics in the news. but thank god Old Man Ray is not into young guys. because he is a massive pervert in which he likes big melons, peaches, and thicc thighs because of his travels around the world. which also influence me because of his pervertedness.
So yeah Old Man Ray adopted me and we started our travel around the world. At first, I don't know why we always travel the world I started asking him why, but Old Man Ray will always tell me that I'm still young and just enjoy our travels which I enjoy every single time then I started to love the Earth because of the beautiful scenery and its natural environment at that point I started calling Earth, Earth~chan because of my Otaku tendency.
then when I was 8 years old, Old Man Ray started to teach me Martial Arts for self-defense, Math, Science, Logistics, Geography, History, Anatomy, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Art, linguistics, and many more subjects. But all the things that Old Man Ray can teach, he teaches me how to be a Perverted Gentleman In which he called a Chivalrous Pervert. He teaches me about Harems, Body Weaknesses, Techniques, Pickup lines, and other things about the opposite gender but he also teaches me to respect and take good care of the girls, not to break their hearts, and not to be an asshole around them. Which I followed as my creed.
then when I was 15 years old, I started collecting various mangas, watching different animes, movies and started playing different kinds of action, adventure games, like the Devil May Cry which is my favorite of all because of the character Dante and Vergil fighting Demons and Whatnot, especially with their weapon and skills.
then years goes by, When finally I was 18 years old Old Man Ray started training me with guns, knives, and other deadly techniques. at first, I don't want to learn about those things because I knew nothing good can be its outcome so I told him that I'm not doing it. Where is he started to tell me why we always travel around the world. He told me about the Cult Organization that wanted to destroy the Earth for their mission. then I told Old Man Ray that he is crazy for thinking that there is a cult organization like that. then he said that there is, and showed me the news of destroyed buildings in different countries around the world and the news and the authority calling it a new terrorist group that just wanted to terrorize the world. He also told me about his past, on why he is sure that the cult exists. in which he told me that he is a former member of that given cult. he told me about the atrocity that they did before In which I was mad at him for doing those things. but then again it was before and he told me he betrayed the group because of how he fall in love with his wife then had a child. but sadly the cult knew that he betrayed the organization so they killed his wife and child when he was away doing his mission. then when he went home he found out that his wife and child were killed, and he knew that the organization already knew that he betrayed them. So he started his vendetta by cleaning and finding the whereabouts of his former organization because of the death of his family. I was sad because of what happened in Old Man Ray's life, he was like my real father, and I respect and love him as my father.
Then he also told me why he is in the Philippines back then, he found out some clues about the transaction of the organization. so he stayed in the Philippines for 4years. then visiting the Orphanage that I was staying in when I was still a child. That's when he saw his past child on me and then decided to adopt me. So yeah I accepted his training and tried to help him with his vendetta but sadly he declined that it's his mission and he doesn't want me to follow in his footstep where he spilled blood by his hand. He said that he just want me to learn those things for self-defense or when I'm in danger.
Then when I was 21 years old. Old Man Ray and I went to the land of the rising sun Japan, and I commissioned myself my own Yamato Katana Blade named after Vergil's Blade. then after months of staying in Japan, we went to the United States to commission my own custom 2 Semi-Automatic pistols which I named Ebony & Ivory named after the guns of Dante. So that's the story of my 3 beloved weapons, courtesy of inspiration from Devil May Cry.
Then when I was 23 years old. the worst thing that my life can experience happens. well although the death of my parents can be the worst, I was young back then and I don't even know their faces and names so yeah. When I was coming home from the convenience store. I heard a big explosion near our apartment then I knew something bad happened and I was running at my top speed. then I saw it, the destroyed apartment. the burnt arm of Old Man Ray, why I know that it was Old Man Ray's hand? I saw his Wedding ring on it and I started crying and grieving at Old Man Ray dying. So yeah even though Old Man Ray said that It's his Vendetta it also became my vendetta when Old Man Ray died because of the Cultist.
So yeah, after 2 years of hunting and finding the whereabouts and the final mission of the Cult Organization Mortifer. I finally ended it.
