Reborn
*beep* *beep* *beep* made the sound of an electric alarm clock, the woman in the bed groaned from the annoying noise of the alarm clock, and there was a frown on her face, she ignored the noise and used her pillow to cover her ears.
A middle aged man, with white hair all over his head walked into the room and went straight to the dark black curtains and pulled them and sunlight immediately entered the huge bedroom
"Young Madam wake up" said the butler, his voice made the woman scrunch her nose and her eyes flew wide open as she panted " *pant *pant* *pant*" she heaved as she stood up from bed and looked scared.
Her reaction scared the old butler and he asked in alarm "Young Madam are you okay??" but she didn't reply him she just kept on panting and heaving checking every inch of her body and murmuring
"Where am I?? am I fine?? am I dead??" she asked as she checked her sides and her face, her eyes filled with tears as she burst into intense sobbing.
All her murmuring and sobbing left the old butler even more confused he tried to find out what was going on? but the madam cried even more when he asked "Young Madam what is the matter? should I call the doctor??"
"Alfred is that you?" she asked as she kept on crying, "Yes Madam it's me what is the matter?" he asked in worry, "Alfred what day is it??" she asked as she cried more.
"Day??Why is the Young Madam asking for the date? what happened to her?" asked Alfred to himself but he didn't say all this out loud instead he just stood by the side of the bed and answered "Madam today is 25th of March"
"What? March?" cried the woman and the old butler nodded "What year is it?" she asked in disbelief "Now the Madam is asking for the year??what in the world happened to her?" wondered the butler, but of course he said none of this out loud he just stood there calmly with a patient look on his face and said "2012"
The woman's eyes went wide she could not believe what she was hearing her tears instantly stopped and she asked in disbelief "2012??" and the old butler nodded in agreement.
"What??? where am I??am I dreaming??" she asked herself in her mind, as she pinched her her arm and she felt pain "Ouch that was painful so I am not dreaming, Dear God, you answered me?? I have been taken 5 years back to before it all happened, I have been reborn" she said to herself in her mind and her sudden quietness scared the old butler, but what happened next petrified him even more.
Without warning the Young Madam's eyes went teary again and she burst back into tears, he could not hear what she was mumbling but it sounded a bit like "I'm back, I'm back"
At this point the old butler did not know what to do anymore and his heart broke at the extent to which she was sobbing "Madam please stop crying whatever the matter is, I don't think that Joy would like to see her mom crying like this" said Alfred
At the mention of the name Joy, the woman cried the more and said "My daughter, my daughter where is she? I need to see her! Alfred take her to me now" she demanded
"Madam calm down Joy is fine she's just in her room sleeping" replied Alfred as the woman got up still with tears in her eyes and she ran out of the room, she made her way through the large corridors until she found her way to a room that had the name Joy that was coloured white in cursive writing engraved on the pink wooden door.
The woman entered the room quietly, and her eyes watered when she saw a light brown-curly haired girl about 4 or 5 lying on the bed sleeping peacefully, she took slow sturdy steps towards the bed and she sat down on the side of the bed and slowly caressed the brown hair of the girl on the bed she immediately hugged her as tears fell from her eyes.
Meanwhile Alfred was startled at the rate at which the Madam left the room and he followed behind her as fast as he could at this rate who wouldn't think that the Young Madam has went mad?
He entered Joy's room and just stood there silently and watched as The Madam hugged Joy as she was crying, the warm wet tears woke up the girl and she blinked her beautiful brown doe eyes and she looked up and saw her mother hugging her.
"Mommy what's wrong??" she asked in a cute little sleepy voice, the woman looked down and saw the girl was awake and said "Oh Joy I missed you ,mommy missed you, Mommy will never let you out of her sight again" she said as she kissed Joy all over her face.
"Mommy it tickles" said Joy as she giggled and hugged her mother, "Mommy why are you crying?" asked Joy as she wiped the remaining tears from her mother's eyes.
"It's nothing sweetie I just missed you" said the Madam, "Okay mommy don't cry anymore I am here" said Joy "Haha yes you are my dear" laughed the Madam and just then Joy's stomach rumbled.
"Mommy I'm hungry" she said as she patted her stomach, "Oh dear it is time for Breakfast, Umm Alfred get breakfast ready" said The Madam as she smiled and Alfred nodded and walked out of the room.
"Children really are the best Medicine" he thought to himself as he made his way to the Kitchen with a slight smile on his severely worried face
