Chapter 177: A Place Like Home

"Can you see who was driving the car behind us?"

Mariano looked back and peered to see the driver of the nearest car with them.

"It's Arland and I think the other one is Benjie. "

"Hmmp, Calixto truly sent his bloodhound after us."

Mariano did not reply but he knitted his brows and cracked his knuckles, thinking.

After a few beats, he looked up and met Love's eyes in the rearview mirror. He noticed the line of worries from the corner of her eyes. She was still having fun, however, she was worried about Iris. And she could not hide her worry for she kept on glancing at Iris.

"Why do you think Calixto isn't with them?"

His question was laced with worries. He could understand that Calixto would send his men after them. But what he could not understand was the fact that he was not with them. There was something going on and no matter how many times he thought it over, he could not get a good reason.
