Chapter 99: Cut It Short

"You are ready?" 

Calixto stood next to the window, arms folded and his ankles were crossed. He had been standing there since he asked Iris if he wanted to go out of the house and checked the mall. 

He had read online that young girls like to hangout at the mall, thus, he thought Iris would be glad to get out and be with normal people after being chased with a band of vampires. 

"Yes," Iris answered, slinging her body bag across her small frame. 

Calixto had to blink twice with how Iris's midsection got exposed when she lifted her arms. She was wearing a decent pair of a blouse and a skirt. The skirt modestly reached below her knees and the blouse had cute puff sleeves and a square collar, exposing the delectable length of her neck, and he had to swallow his urge to sink his fangs into it and ran his fingers along her midriff section where the hem of her blouse just barely touched her navel. And that was where the outfit had a problem.
