Chapter 83: My Own Blood

Mariano put his finger on his lips and Iris nodded in understanding. They slowly walked along the side of the house and crossed the yard of the church. No one was giving them attention because all of the people in the churchyard were busy, banging on the door and the windows of the church. 

They didn't care about those people because they have a different place in mind. When they were on the rooftop, he saw the side of the church that had a few men roaming around. The difference that he noticed about the place was that it was guarded by some men that did not seem to be just walking puppets. They walked around the area with a clear intention—guarding the place. 

And that was what caught his attention. Why would those men guard a certain area in the church and why would those puppets be gone after them but not attacked. 

"Shhhh, let's stay here first to observe," he whispered.
