William slowly lifted the remains of the warship. His eyes swirled with a pale-green light as he muttered to himself.

Under Life Detection's vision, William couldn't find a humanoid outline with any signs of life in the wreckage of the warship. William only saw fish swimming around in panic.

This wasn't normal.

How long had it been? Even if they encountered a large-scale sea battle, an entire ship could not die so easily.

Along the way, William saw many floating corpses. Most of the corpses didn't have obvious wounds. A large portion of them had their hands on their chests with pain written all over their faces.

Could it be that the Instant Death skill the phantom used on him—one that could crush a heart from a distance—was an AOE skill? And this was how the people on this entire warship died?

William gritted his teeth—an AOE Instant Death skill. There shouldn't be such a shameless thing in this world.
