Chapter 38: Sasuke
Sasuke gazed at Ryu, who resembled Itachi from head to toe. Sasuke was dragged back in the blink of an eye. After all these years, he never expected to see Itachi's face again.
Ryu smirked at Sasuke's puzzled expression. He could see him buried in his thoughts.
Ryu activated his sharingan and locked his gaze on Sasuke.
"We are the Uchihas. We give flashback through our Sharingan."
In a genjutsu realm, Sasuke was looking at a running picture. It was the same technique Itachi used when he showed Sasuke his life's flashback.
Ryu proved to sasuke who he was giving him glimpse of his Flashback of his meeting with Itachi when he held Tatsuka Sword.
The flashback ended, "I think there is no need to explain my existence from here."
Ryu was looking directly at Sasuke through his Sharingan. The atmospere was heavy, they were both staring at each other.
Sasuke wanted to say something to Ryu, but he couldn't when he recalled he killed his father, Itachi, when he tried to speak.
Sasuke regretted killing Itachi more than anything else in his life. Killing an entire village would have been less regrettable for him. This showed how much he cared for him.
When Sasuke glanced at him, he felt regret and was unsure how to respond. In the anime, Sasuke was an emo boy who couldn't communicate his emotions, unlike Naruto.
Sasuke gathered his thoughts while glancing at his face before speaking.
"Why did you not visit the village? And where has your mother gone?"
'So straightforward!'
"She's been gone a long time. You were present when we fought on the day of her funeral."
Sasuke remembered the day when he was poisoned through Ryu's sword. he felt like Scumbag for fighting a kid who had just lost a mother based on simple suspicions.
"Where have you been the whole time?"
Ryu flinched. He needed to tell them about Kara for his own safety, but he didn't know where to start.
"It's fine; you don't have to respond right away. Make sure to follow me!"
Sasuke's emotions were running high. He was at a loss for what to do. He made the decision to take him to the village. It was almost dusk, and night was approaching.
Sasuke opened a portal that connected to hidden leaf, he was returning village for real this time. He had no plans of leaving the leaving anytime soon.
Ryu entered the hidden leaf village after following Sasuke through the portal. He was going to take Ryu to his house, which he hadn't been there in as long as he could remember.
Sasuke came to the village before Momshiki's attack, however he had returned months before due to Ryu's participation.
"What are we going to do?"
"I have a wife and a daughter who would be delighted to meet you at my home."
"I'm not sure about your daughter, but I've met your wife previously."
Sasuke came to a complete stop. He'd be pissed if Sakura didn't recognize him after looking at his face.
"Did she notice your face?" Sasuke asked as he resumed his stroll.
Ryu had duped her at a gambling den, but he had a tattoo at the time.
"I had a tattoo on my face at the time. I didn't want to be noticed."
"Did you two talk or did you just pass by?"
"Well! She's not going to forget me after what I did to her anytime soon."
"Huh! What exactly did you do?"
"You are free to ask her."
"What do you think of her?"
Ryu was surprised when Sasuke asked for other people's comments on her, but he revealed Sasuke his true feelings about her.
"I find her annoying. Please don't ask me why. I do that for some reason."
Sasuke recalled how much he despised Sakura and found her annoying. He even tried to kill her, but Naruto always saved her.
Sasuke smirked as he remembered the past.
"You have the guts to tell a husband that his wife is annoying."
Ryu had despised Sakura throughout the series, and that was not going to change. He would gladly kill her if she stood in his way.
"She is quite annoying. I will give you my honest view, and this will not change."
Sasuke could tell by the tone of his voice that he had a difficult childhood. He wasn't outraged at Ryu's remarks, but he was relieved that Ryu hadn't strayed into darkness yet, though he could sense he was getting close.
Ryu bought a mask from the shop. He didn't want to show his face to everyone so quickly.
Sasuke observed him wearing a mask but said nothing. There was no reason for him to be concerned while in the hamlet, and no one would dare to do anything suspicious while Sasuke was present.
Sasuke approached his house and whispered, "We've made it. Let us go inside."
"Wait! I'd like to personally greet your wife. Why don't you wait till I've surprised them?"
Sasuke didn't know what he meant, but he accepted it. He didn't want to disappoint him.
"We will exchange some moves. Don't mind me."
"Why fight of all things? She will utterly destroy you."
"We'll see about that."
Ryu removed his disguise and entered the building silently like a ninja.
'Sakura, Let's see if you are useless till now.'
Ryu sprouted a sword from his forearm and deactivated the primary switch. Sasuke was clear that he was attempting to cause trouble, but he didn't bother as he thought he was not someone sakura could not handle if he didn't use Susano.
"Mama, the power went off."
"Strange! I can see the lights of other houses shining. Is there a shot circuit?"
*Thump*

Both Sakura and Sarada went into alert mode. They were aware that the situation was unusual. Sarada summoned her Sharingan, and Sakura summoned her Thousand Healings.
Ryu walked inside to kitchen from main door, he had his Sharingan activated while walking inside the room.
Sakura and Sarada saw a figure before them, "Who are you?"
Ryu didn't respond, instead charging forward with his blade squarely towards Sakura.
Sakura hopped on the wall, dodging the blade, and aimed to punch Ryu in the face.
Ryu evaded by moving bending his head and pierced her stomach with his sword right in her stomach.
"Mama!" Sarada shouted.
Sakura was bearing a sword in her stomach. She smiled at that.
"I've got you!"
She concentrated her energy on her hand and smacked Ryu in the head.
Sakura let him pierce her on purpose since she didn't want him to go after Sarada, and after piercing her, he'd be at Sakura's mercy.
Any average shinobi would get punched in the face and lose, but Ryu was always the exception of all exceptions.
She was punched by four limbo clones and landed on the wall before she could punch him.
Sarada noticed this and saw an opportunity to smack him in the head from behind.
Ryu felt the strike coming and shifted his body to avoid Sarada's hit. When she went for a front jab,
She felt like rods were piercing her body and she couldn't move. She was utterly immobile.
"Sarada!"
The lights went on, and they could both see Ryu and one of his eyes. Ryu had shut his other eye. He never used it against them.
Ryu's appearance startled Sakura.
"Uchiha Itachi! You were dead and why are you attacking us?"
Ryu lifted Sarada's genjutsu, and she looked at Ryu with great interest, she knew only her father possesed that.
"Enough! "Don't you think stabbing her was a bit much?" When Sasuke entered the room, Sakura recognized him at first sight.
"You're here, too, Sasuke!"
Sarada casted a glance at Sasuke. It was their first meeting, and she recognized him as her father. She just knew his name and saw a picture.
Sakura's injury were healed in the time frame. "Who is he? and why does he look like him? and why did he attack us?"
Sakura asked, her gaze fixed on Ryu. She didn't know why he brought him here.
After the genjutsu strike, Sarada was drenched in sweat but she didn't care about that. She wanted to talk to her father.
"Papa!"
Sasuke casted a glance at Sarada, he knew it was their first time meeting her but ignored her.
"He'll be living with us from now. I'm adopting him." Sasuke was dead serious.
Ryu was now baffled. He had no intention of being adopted, yet it made sense for Sasuke to adopt him, even though it was unexpected.
"Hey, Do you not believe you should ask me for my permission if you are planning to adopt me?"
Sasuke sat at the dining table, staring at Ryu, without reacting.
"Why should I ask such question?"
Ryu was loss for words, He didn't know if he should be happy or sad on Sasuke's behaviour.
"I apologize for shocking you all with such a visit. My name is Ryu, and I'm also an uchiha. I'm Itachi's son."
Sakura was still perplexed by what had just occurred. Her husband pays her a visit after many years and brings another son with him.
At the dinner table, he sat across from Sasuke. Ignoring Sakura's baffled expression,
Sarada was focused with her father and Ryu. She sat next to Sasuke, completely ignoring Sakura. She desired to speak with her father more than anything else.
Sasuke was meeting his daughter for the first time, yet he was expressionless and deafeningly silent. He was your stereotypical emo. He was interested, to be sure, but Ryu overwhelmed whatever excitement he should have felt.
Ryu stared at Sakura, who was still taking it all in. "Does she planned to remain there all night with that frozen face?"
Sakura went unnoticed by Sasuke. He hadn't moved his gaze from Ryu for the entire time. Ryu could sense how Sasuke was feeling.
"I don't hold you responsible for what you did. I would have done the same if I were in your position, and I would not have returned from becoming a rogue ninja."
Sasuke flinched; he was a rogue ninja, but Ryu was well aware of that, as well as his involvement in Itachi's killing, which anyone might uncover if they dug deep enough.
'But what exactly does he mean by going rogue?'
Itachi's mission was kept secret, and only a few of the most trustworthy people were aware of it, and they would die before disclosing it.
Ryu was gazing around the room when he noticed a picture of Sasuke. In that photo, he was dressed in an akatsuki costume.
Ryu continued, pointing to the image, "Your proof of Akatsuki membership is right there. Don't even try to dispute it."
Sasuke thought It was simply a guess, but Ryu proved that he knew a lot about him, despite the fact that he didn't know anything about him.
"How do you even know this stuff?"
"I will tell you after we meet Naruto," Ryu said, relaxing slightly.
"Shouldn't it be something like the 7th Hokage or Lord Seven? Naruto's fans might kill you if you use his name casually."
"They don't have the ability to do so. At the moment, the only ninjas capable of defeating me are you and Naruto."
"You might be overestimating your kid?"
"I fought Otsutsuki when I didn't have half my current abilities."
Sasuke chuckled. Ryu was surprising him one after the other.
"It was the same Otsutsuki from Hidden Rain Village. I believe you must have known that someone fought him hard and nearly killed him."
'What kind of a child is he?' When I was his age, I was more normal.'
Sarada was eavesdropping on their chat. Her father's decision to deny being a rogue ninja surprised her. Most of what they said after that she didn't understand.
"Was your name Sarada?"
"Yes!"
"Let's get on with it. I'll be staying here for a while."
"I'm hoping to get along with you as well."
"Have you been assigned to a team?"
Ryu needed to know the timeline. He had lost track of it totally after all this time.
"I will be assigned to a team after a week or so."
"Why don't you get in a team yourself, Ryu?" Sasuke spoke out to Ryu.
I might kill the teacher while selecting an exam, and I don't have anything to learn from that. I have S-class jutsu at my disposal. "
Sarada looked at Ryu with admiration. Sasuke looked at him with a doubtful expression.
"You doubt my abilities too much." Haven't you experienced it firsthand? "
They both had serious converstion with Sarada listening to it whole time.
