Chapter 89: Sorry, Rose!

Rose stole a glance at Evan. She saw him almost finish his meal and at the same time, his phone rang.

"Excuse me, Rose, I have to take this call…." 

Rose nodded as she continued to eat her meal. Sometimes she looks at Evan. He was standing at the end of the room receiving a call. She couldn't hear what Evan was talking about. But, from his tone and the expression on his face, it looked like he was annoyed. As if someone was challenging him. She was slightly surprised as she had never seen his angry expression like this before. 

Did something happen in his office? Worried, Evan has to go somewhere. She quickly finished her lunch. 

"Have you finished your meal?" Evan came back and sat back in his seat.

"Hmm, yeah, I just finished my meal. Something seems to be bothering you. Is there a problem at your work?" Rose couldn't hide her worries.
