“Your call has been forwarded to voicemail.”
Sean hung up. That was all he’d received for two days, and all his texts to Isaac had gone unanswered. Isaac had either blocked him or was intent on ignoring him.
Not that Sean could blame him, but it made reconciling with him difficult.
He grabbed his car keys and headed out the door. Showing up unannounced at Isaac’s apartment might not get him anywhere, but it was the only option left.
Unless Isaac moved, in which case Sean was screwed.
He shook his head. Positive thoughts. This would work. He’d explain everything, and Isaac would forgive him, and things would go back to the way they’d been.
His whole body was jittery with nervous energy while he drove, and by the time he reached Isaac’s apartment he felt like he might throw up.
What was he going to do if Isaac didn’t forgive him? Was any explanation good enough to justify what he’d done?
He had to try.
