Chapter 22: Ch 22 : A fateful encounter
When Tashigi heard the voice, she immediately shifted her gaze forward.
There, she saw a man with a charming appearance was handing off her glasses to her.
Immediately blush began to creep on her face, but she still took the glasses politely as she thanked the man.
" Thank you.."
" Don't mention it. It's also my fault. By the way, to meet such a beautiful lady here. I think this must be fate.."
Tashigi's blush became even redder when she heard the word a beautiful woman. Nonetheless, she still took the man's hand as she stood up.
Only then, that she realized that there were some cracks in her glasses.
" AH.."
" Ah! I'm sorry. I'll make up to you for it!"
The man apologized. For some reason, Tashigi couldn't help but feel that the man was a good person, and every touch that he made had made her very comfortable.
Back to Rei, he saw Tashigi didn't reject when he held her hand, and a smile crept on his face.

The last skill, Comforting touch was pretty much an unexpected one. He gained it after holding Nami for so many times these past weeks, but he never thought it would be so useful.
The skill's effect was pretty simple. When you hold a girl's hand, it would reduce the amount of discomfort and instead make the girl have a good feeling toward you. And this was also the reason why Tashigi didn't reject Rei when he held her hand.
As of now, Rei was currently leading Tashigi to stroll around Logue Town.
The two chatted along the way, and because Rei already knew Tashigi's fanaticism toward swords from the anime, he slowly brought the topic to swordsmanship.
And right, when Rei and Tashigi talked about swordsmanship, Tashigi's eyes brightened, and Rei could feel the gap between them had gotten narrower.

Rei's touch, kind words, and smell, all of it had made Tashigi's intoxicated that she unconsciously began to intertwine her fingers around Rei.
If one were to see the two of them, they might mistake Rei and Tashigi as a pair of young people in love.
As time went on, Rei and Tashigi finally did their business. Rei had brought Tashigi to the place to repair glasses, and after eating their dinner together, it was time for them to separate.
However, Tashigi, for some reason, had some reluctance on her heart.
After meeting Rei, she felt like her view had widened, and she really didn't want the man to go from her life.
It was strange as it was their first meeting. However, Tashigi could only put the blame on the fateful encounter.
When Rei's hand was about to separate from her, Tashigi firmly held Rei's hand on hers.
" Rei, wait a minute!!"

" Can.. can we stay together a bit longer?"
Now she had said it.
Tashigi was so embarrassed that she wanted to die.
What if Rei rejected her? It would be the most shameful event in her life.
Fortunately for her, Rei from the start, didn't have any intention to reject this request of her.
Instead, he also tried to think of a reason so that they could stick together for a bit longer.
When Tashigi heard Rei's affirmation, a jolt of happiness came to her heart.
She unconsciously jumped at Rei and gave him a big hug.

" I didn't think that you are such an aggressive girl. Still... I don't say that I hate it though." Rei whispered at Tashigi's ear, which made her heart become even more uncontrollable.
There was even a feeling that began to rose in her heart to just leave everything to Rei.
But before she could do anything more, Rei pulled back, and as he held into Tashigi's hand, he began to lead the way.
" *Chuckle* Let's go, I know a place where you should like it!"
Tashigi was ashamed at what she thought. She put her head down, afraid to look at Rei while still following him.
No matter what, her heart felt so sweet, and she wanted these moments to last forever.
